Good morning/afternoon/evening friends and enemies, and welcome to JW's Name and Shame of Pay Now Inc. Please keep your seatbacks in the upright and locked position and stow all baggage in the overhead compartments. Emergency exits are located via your pod.
--------------------
Date: Sometime in March Location: Some system (I have a crappy memory)
So this corp decides to team up with friends (who shall not be named out of respect) and war is declared. After 24 hours of Concord red tape, fighting legally commences between Pay Now Inc and Thunderbolts.
Yes, we were easy kills considering that we lost 75% of our pilots dropping from 70 members down to current (and active) numbers. We were also easy kills considering it's an indy corp and most of us had never seen combat to save our lives.
Weeks go by and there's no let up from Pay Now, though their friends (again not named) were very kind, a pleasure to speak with, and decided to pursue other ventures. Kudos to them. However, Pay Now's outrageous demand of 250mil ISK or dissolution of the corp persisted.
It wasn't too long that friends were contacted to deal with Pay Now Inc.... except for the corp decided to DOCK when evenly gunned via targets that could actually defend themselves. Wait, let's back track here... "Run by pilots who like to make things go BOOOM and make iskies." Okay, so you'd expect that they'd undock right??
Nope!!! Even when a single lone thunderbolt pilot undocked and engaged Era Crusader, CEO of Pay Now Inc, the docking games continued. Last evidence shows Era running scared for the safety of a docking collar. For shame... if only someone had a point on him.
It's funny then I get an evemail talking about "negotiation" when our desire is to end the war.... there's nothing to negotiate with this shameful corporation... just a bunch of freebooters looking for easy kills and run when their targets shoot back.
Sorry Era... no wait, no I'm not.

So you got decced, lost a large proportion of your members, refused a fair ransom demand, then called in your friends and since this corp presumably didn't wish to engage in a fight they weren't certain to win which isn't really that unreasonable, you are "shaming" them? How is any of this shameful to them? Seriously?

When your wallet is zero, redefine "fair".
As for the fights: 1v1 CEO vs my director... that's a fair fight. No one else was around from Thunderbolts in the system :P As for the friends declaring war... six of them versus eight Pay Now. ;)
Just find it ironic that targets who SHOOT BACK are suddenly taboo.

That was a pretty terrible post. Needs moar tildes imo~~~~~~~
Also: OP: You'd be amazed at how many corps exist like that. EVE is full of people who like fighting only when it's unfair in their favour. Grats to you for not dropping corp like most indy guys do though.

The whole.. "fair"... "reasonable"... "equal"... conversation is oxymoron/alien/foreign to the game we call Eve. Kleenex's are 2 for a dollar at walmart... now thats a fairly reasonable and equally fulfilling deal.

How the heck a 70 man corp doesn't have 250 mil? Sure, you might not have it in the corp wallet if you're a bunch of tax free hippies, but out of 70 people, you couldn't gather that ISK?
Likewise, a few days ago, one of our ally corps (indies) was decced by a small PvP corp that does pretty much the same you described, so we decced them and after a day of fighting, there's not much action to be found, but I didn't feel the need to post a thread about it.

just because your wallet is zero doesnt change the fact its a fair offer... buy a gtc if you care so much - or maybe you dont got your pocket money yet.
if your corp wasnt already ****d into mush (and as i dont like sloppy seconds) i would wardec you just for your attitude. i can just imagine what it would of been like *droooooools*

This
There is no money in "fair fights" only pvp fun and as your a industrial corp of limited members and no pvper perhaps it would not be the best idea to draw attention to yourself on the C&P boards?

Sorry that you've never dealt with A) inactive characters, B) reconstruction efforts, C) loss of pilots, D) multiple alternates.
I didn't feel a need to post a thread about it either until it was very clear that this war declaration isn't so much about "making things go boom" as it is a reputation builder for PAYN, and so I am out with the wrecking ball.

This war still going on? I remeber repping you guys in Renyn about what, 5 or 6 weeks ago?
It was a totally one sided affair in terms of what Pay Now brought versus what the Thunderbolts had available to them. Like some in here have stated, this kind of thing happens all the time, even more so the larger and more carebearish your corporation appears to be. Your only true options are learn to fight, get some friends, or hire mercs. (if you don't want to pay the ransom, which you obviously don't)

OP suffers major losses and corp largely dissolves. OP then claims pirate corp is terrible because he didn't feel like doing a "1v1".
What the OP fails to realize is that the pirate may have felt the odds were not favorable enough for him to engage. There's nothing wrong with docking up. The way I see it, he spanked you and then denied you of any retribution.
You must be appealing to his e-honour. Clearly a pirate corp declaring war on a stale turd of an indy corp is in it for the fair fights and honour.
