This movie sucked dont waste your money on it. They pawned it off like it was an action movie, but it is a chinese drama like a soap opera. They speak chinese was is subscripted in english, the 1 or 2 fights scenes are retarded.

I thought it was a great movie with an excellent story. You probably just wanted one of those cookie-cutter action flicks that Hollywood has been making a lot of lately.

zhang yimou is one of my favorite directors, 'the road home' is one of my all time favs, ive got nearly all his films on dvd....i wont be adding this pretentious ****e to my collection.
the cinematography is superb tho

I liked Hero..
Rented it on a whim from the local blockbusters one rainy sunday many moons ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. :]

I thought it was a great movie. My roommate didn't. To each his own.
I like how the move keeps showing the same chain of events, but interpereted differently. It's definitely a Tarantino flick.

really bad, but then again most things that humans are entertained by are really bad, they just dont know it.

Oh come on, twisted plot like that is signature Tarantino. Very much his style. He added a LOT more than his name.

This movie was actually released a few years back and is widely available in Chinese movie stores. Now..don't quote me on that one, I am going by an instructors' voice.
However, I am certain this was released a while back.

This movie was actually released a few years back and is widely available in Chinese movie stores. Now..don't quote me on that one, I am going by an instructors' voice.

As it has been said, the movie's art. Oh and Tarantino did nothing to it, I haven't seen his name on any cover/cd/credits when I viewed the german version.
