Freighter can only "scoop" from POS, Station or Freight Containers when in space (they get there by blowing up a Freighter). You can't jetison anything from the cargo of a Freighter when in space.
So, a Freighter can't 'haul' ore from a jetison can. A Freighter is only for transporting bulk stuff from A to B.
An Orca can do the scoop thing from a jetison container and also has boni/slots for boosting mining mates.. your decision.

Correct me if im wrong but cant you scoop ore from the corp hanger in the orca if your in a frighter? And in my oppion orca is better you get mining bounes but only while its not in warp so u get your orca to act as a can and still use haulers is best.

no, you can't use the Orcas corp hangar to fill a freighters cargobay. -------------------

You can enter them into courier contracts, and the packages can then be placed inside freighters. This only works for ships with assembled volumes of 120,000m^3, though, as this is an arbitrary limit on the volume of courier contracts.
Also, livestock, passengers, any containers except General Freight Containers, and certain other trade goods (including Enriched Uranium iirc) cannot be carried in freighter cargo holds. --- 20:1 mineral compression ISRC Racing, Season 7 - schedule |

You can put Enriched Uranium in freighters, just not inside freight containers IIRC.

If ur close to a pos you would be to far away fom the mining ships to haul ore ;)
Hauling ore from a mining spot to any station/pos using a freighter is impossible. -------------------
