Dear Eve-Community,
after running Evetube.com for over 1 1/2 Year with just little updates, 1 week ago i relaunched the whole plattform under a new name and opened for other games aswell. The Successor of evetube is called damagedealer.com. Evetube.com links to the Eve Video Portal on this new page.
Changes from evetube to damagedealer:
- Max Upload size per video now is 850MB
- You need to signup/login to upload, comment and rate videos
- You can also upload pictures now
- You can add your mmo history to find old guildmates (also from other games)
- Updated Player, The "open in larger player" link slides in a player in the encoded original size (1088x722)
- You can forward / reverse videos without much buffering (true h264 streaming) this makes it possible to watch as example minute 10 of a video without downloading the first 10 minutes.
- flickr like ajax uploader, you can upload multiple pictures/videos
- We run monthly "win some cool stuff" EVE-Online Giveaways (currently you can win 2x 6* 60 day gtcs)
- All old evetube.com links still work, redirecting to the video on the dd page
- LUCENE Search Engine for Videos and Users/Characters, easier to find videos
- Plattform available in English AND German .de and .com
- much more changes...
Since evetube did not have a login system, all old videos belong to my account. If you find a video which belongs to you, pm me your username and i will transfer the video to your account.
I hope you like the new version. The Download Mirror feature where you can download the original uploaded files comes back shortly.

a few changes:
- added "save as favorit" and favoritlist in the videoportal (as long you have favs)
- added "download original file", however only for new files, still need a while for the old files til i have all back
- raised max upload size to 900mb per file
- left skyscrapper is removed for logged in users
current work in progress is a interface to setup a teamspeak server for your corp (free ofc). Killboard hosting is in testing too (fsp-kb.damagedealer.com).

Hi there, I have about 123 Eve videos currently sat on my PC, was thinking about uploading them all, would take me a long time however. But if I was to do so that would be ok yes?
Ah it's 850MB in total?

its 850mb per file, you can upload as many files as you want. maybe the uploader has some problems if you put multiple files at once, i check this.

few changes today:
- updated encode-server to latest libx264 and ffmpeg so:
- all new uploaded videos will be encoded using 2-pass
- resolutions changed to 1280x720 (also the larger player window)
- Video Stream Bandwith is now VBR 2.5MBit

I'm not having loading problems, I get 390% (I got 4 cores, so 400% is the max) CPU Usage while watching the fullscreen player, and about 150% to 200% while watching the standard one.

It works so-so for me.
I'm wondering, why is there no progress bar when using the "big player" function? Why not make it possible to get the progress bar with controls and whatnot out just like when you have full screen activated.

I like the idea of a 720p display version but it renders so incredibly badly that its unusable despite this machine having quite a decent video card and processor. Sadly flash is a terrible platform. I think something 1/2 or 3/4 of that size would probably be usable.

i think that highly depends on the configuration whatever. in ff 3 with latest flash plugin on my machine (Phenom(tm) II X4 940, 4gb, gx 260, vista ultimate) have a load of just 18% in the 720p player.
I also have no problem at work hmmm.

- Added a secondary streaming server (makes 200Mbit/s streaming power now), auto failover if one server fails
- Added possibility to select streaming server (us mirror coming soon)
