Suggesting the "constructive" act of suicide and slamming others for being "spiteful children" in the same sentence. Bravo!
Pot kettle black.

Ok, but regardless of how effective they are, the ability to use them has been stripped away. That in my eyes is wrong... now what do you think of my solution? For a wounded man shall say to his assailant "If I live, I will kill you, if I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor. |

Well, one of the devs said he would much rather just remove SB all together. So I think you should just be happy they didn't.

Um, ok.. So they have done this over people committing suicide via Concord, or insta-jumps? Concord is only in empire while instas can be at any and every gate. Hmm..
So, anyone know when "Jumpdrive" is going to be useful?

In another thread a dev mentioned that an SB will fail to damage a gate or station.
Has anyone actually tested to see if the SB actually deactivates as opposed to simply failing to damage?
I brought this up because I can see what they are trying to solve in that distances from objects are still mis-reported. Someone in a war in empire should be able to sit 5k outside the exit of a station and try to nail enemy frigates / shuttles.
It's a perfectly valid strategy. So call people noobs who read 5.5k on their auto scanner and then fire the SB and then 8 sentry guns shred them before they can warp away.
Personally I depend on the game to give me information I can play with. Without going to chaos server I would assume 5.5 - 6k away from a station is safe to fire a large SB. But it isn't. That is a bug not a stupid / noob player.

It deactivates giving you a message that you're too close to the gate and damages nothing. |
