Great fc'ing from both jester and him :)
After yesterday's blueballing in Syndicate, multiple nearby Error towers were put into reinforced. One of those came out of reinforced at 0700 and change tonight.
We (Cry Havoc) kept the POS stripped during the day, re-incaping the mods that had been repped up early in the morning, leaving the POS fairly bare for tonight. We figured we probably didn't have enough to kill the POS if they did serious defense on it, but with the light Error activity we'd seen all day today we thought well.. maybe they won't defend.
Formed up a relatively small fleet of BS - 30ish or so, and invited some local friendlies - Avarice, Dara Cothrom, and The Homeless to join us. Was low numbers, but lots of HICs. I figure if we can tackle something important, we might be able to lure someone else into lending a hand.
Error started logging on, and we saw one of their Titans - Forward plus several MS online. We talk to PL and SoT and wave shiny hostile supercaps at them... see, you want a piece of those don't you. They grab some BS and start bridging from a zillion systems away. Maybe they'll get there, eventually.
POS comes out of reinforced and Error cynos in 6 carriers to rep it. That shouldn't be too quick at least, see if we can dig up more people... Scout calls the carriers have gone into triage.
Well ok, we can kill some of those then. Cyno up, bridge us in. Our BS group goes in at close range on the carriers and starts shooting. We've got enough to break their triage'd self-tank and the first one is unhappy. Enemy cyno lights... 4 Nyx and a bunch of Dreads tumble into system to engage our BS fleet.
First enemy carrier pops quickly, but then it gets difficult from there. Triage cycle ends before we kill a second one, and now we're struggling against the 4 nyx and lots of remote rep. Cyno opens up, and Forward bridges in with his Avatar. Fleet had been under orders to stay aligned, so most people make it out. We immediately get HICs on the Titan and try to keep him out of the POS, but our subcaps are getting hammered at this point. PL and SoT are still on the way, but they had to go a really long ways, so no help in sight yet.
Some subcaps go down under the Nyx's faction gear and we're losing HICs. Most of them are pulled off for a moment and people jump clone back to their Dreads. PL & SoT report that they're in range, and we call for the tackle. There's still a couple Nyx outside the shields. Point one and cyno NOW.
Point on the Nyx, Dreads jump. He drops to about 50% armor but then slips into the shield. Curse, swear, grumble, growl. We kill several more capitals that are out of the shields, but the rest duck back inside. PL and SoT show up and are like "so um, where's the **** to kill?".
We start hitting the tower and keep bubbles on as many of the enemy capitals as possible. Unfortunately we don't have enough dreads to do this quickly, and we're spamming friendlies for more. All the motherships and most of the other capitals jump out, but the Titan is still there.
POS is almost down and the Titan logs. Too bad he's in the bubble. Titan logs back on. POS drops and primary: Forward. Enemy pops a cyno and all their non-mothership capitals come back in to fight.
Titan goes down quickly, and we get to work on the enemy dreads. We lose 2 dreads over the course of the engagement, and largely sweep the field. Not sure final numbers yet. 10-12 enemy dreads, half a dozen carriers or so killed I think.

Even better was the Cry Havoc pilot that logged onto vent yelling "I've got a providence tackled in oulley" being told to shut up. He took it down though so props to him, it just pales in comparison to a Titan
