I just finished up reading over the CSM candidates but none of them seem to be interested in the market, industry.
Who are the other market regulars voting for and why.

You must've missed OZ. (Omber Zombie) He's not much of a forum ho but he is definitely the quintessential Market/Industry candidate. Fortunately Hexxx didn't run this time around or I'd be conflicted.

I am only just really becoming aware of this CSM stuff did LVV win his spot by a healthy margin?
Maybe I'll run next time. I'd be fun to visit Iceland I guess. I'd like to bust some CCP heads over their neglect of the market interfaces.

It makes good sense to limit the number of terms, so I will not complain about that. Cheers for the list too.
I considered the possibility of running for CSM at some point. However my fear is it would 1) be too much of a drain on my meagre reserves of time 2) be like taking my day job and extending it into my leisure time 3) result in my 'missus leaving me.
Instead, I think I'll settle for taking a holiday in Iceland at some point in the future!

Hexxx "was" going to go for it but he chickened out at the last minutes, It might be better to get all the "Political" leaders out for the way first anyway, eventually they'll run out of known heads of alliances and then it will be the day the carebear Rules!
We'll throw Hexxx in there and maybe someone else, dominate the landscape with Hulks and Freighter buffs!

Nonsense, I have complete confidence in the current candidates, whoever they are, to tell the devs that the priorities have changed to: landing on planets and adding a FPS side to the game. And for those that love production you can grow vegetables in your garden and later manipulate the grocery market.

I ended up having too many RL commitments to do a proper job of CSM. I hope to run at some point, but right now I just have too much going on.

I don't have one - unlike the CSM candidates that have those massive platforms of 'things I will do' I actually understand how the CSM works and find it ridiculous to state things that aren't actually possible. IMHO CSM exists to raise the players concerns to CCP, not to promote their own agendas.

You're right that you've been around longer than I have, I was just getting frustrated with the lack of agenda. Just out of the curiosity, are you primarily for Market or Industry?

Going through OZ "history" I tend to notice he is not very biased.. He seem to have a nice everyone wins tude, but he seems very informed and focused on how important business and secondary market development is to EVE.

You'd have to be amazingly dense not to be for market/industry - the entire game is built around it
As Caleb so eloquently put it - I know the market/economy and I know industry better than most, I've been interacting with it for a long long time. I may not know every part of it to the depth that some others do, but I seek out the opinions of others that I trust to have that detailed knowledge when it is required. My 'skill' for lack of a better term, is to see the overall architecture and how everything works together, so if a change is needed, I can figure out what part needs to be looked at and then dig into it.

That and he's been there before and so already knows how the CSM works and what works best for communication to CCP. You'll notice that the effectiveness of LVV practically went to power eleventy billion his second term.
This way around we already get someone who knows the ropes and present more effectively than other pie in the sky candidates. |

As a fellow CSM candidate I would like to say that if the Market and Industry is your thing I would certainly vote for OZ. I have a reasonable amount of experience in the fields myself but this man makes me look like a 3 day old player. Seriously Vote OZ if Industry and the Market is your thing and I promise on my own behalf if we both get on to give him all the support I can to help him with issues in this area.
Oh and is wrestling ability now a criteria for the CSM?
