I'm checking contracts just now when I see a public item exchange for....Rattlesnake BPC, 7.6 million.
I must have misread that, right? It's got to be a scam of some sort. No, it actually seems to be a Rattlesnake instead of a Scorpion, and the price seems to check out--it is summed up as 7.6 mil. Still not quite able to believe it, I log in a character that's actually in the region, but it's gone.
So what happened? Did the owner realise they'd left some 0's out and take it down, or did someone else snap up the bargain while I was still staring in disbelief?

760 million probably. Still seems a little on the cheap side even then.

It's possible to link a description i think. I've seen it spammed in Jita for a CNR when actually its a Raven. Bottom line, if you think its too good to be true, it usually is.

"Why wuld it b so expensiv?"
People don't seem to understand.
Faction ships cost the same amount of minerals to build as their tech 1 variants.
Go figure.
if you disagree with me then you should probably post a response and stop reading my signature. |

The contract was in fact up for 7.6M -- obviously the person who issued it forgot to count their zeros. I was on my way to accept it when it disappeared (i was in a different region). I don't know if someone picked it up or if the owner realized their mistake and deleted it quickly. I was a good ways away but I would have gladly taken it off their hands

you were kidding right?
in case you weren't. you can buy BPOs for normal ships, research them and build them. same cant be done for faction ships. you need to run missions for those factions and then buy BPCs which let you build ONE ship (which still costs the same in mineral costs as the normal ships). now these BPCs are expensive LP wise and therefore ISK wise. ships belonging to the 4 major factions are relatively cheap as it is easy to run missions for them (lvl4s in highsec FTW!), but pirate ships are harder to get, as you need to run missions in low sec or null sec, and, well, there be ebil piwates there :(

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it and then I hit "Accept"
Will have it up for sale later, Might even offer a discount
