Edited by: Xen Gin on 29/04/2009 13:23:08 Anyone know how much roughly it costs in ISK to manufacture a titan.
Thanks.
I'm not trying to buy one, it's just information for a report.
*Whoops, wrong forum.

Yeah 65-75bil - loads of variables since there are so many non standard costs involved i.e. time, logistics etc.

With a researched BPO and component BPCs you are looking at a straight mineral cost of around 40-45Bil. The 60-70 Bil quote is what you will pay to have one built for you.
20-30 Bil profit seems like alot, and it is, but keep in mind that the builder needs to maintain a Sov 4 constellation, with all of the investment in a cap fleet, outposts, fuel, logistics etc that requires (a lot). Add to that the fact that there are only a handful of groups that sell to neutrals on the open market (Morsus Mihi does it, Bob used to, not sure about others) So demand is high and there isn't much competition to drive prices down.

I'm really surprised- 70 bil doesn't seem like all that much, TBH. I always thought that Titans were this nigh-unattainable ship that only large alliances could build... and I know of numerous players that have over 100bil in assets.
How about some of the Eve elite take a titan or two out for some solo pvp?

If by "Eve Elite" the mean "ISK Buyers", then yes, I have heard of a few solo titans go down recently.
Titans aren't that expensive because they aren't that strong. You need at least 2 DDD to do anything these days..
On that note, most alliances have 3+ titans these days.

Because a Titan sucks solo?
I have seen a few fail titan killmails recently tho, I am kinda supprised they are wasted like that.
And for thoose isk buyers that get them, and they deserve to have their titans lost in a ball of fire. I mean, EVE is a game, not your life, and buying isk for a titan is a considrable ammount of RL money. What an utter waste.

When you could remote DDD they actually did as long as you consider cyno alts aceptable in solo pvp.

40-45bn isk is fairly accurate if you only consider the Jita market value of the minerals required.
Ideally, you also need an outpost with refining facilities for your mineral stockpile and building components, a Sov. 4 system, so that you don't have to worry too much about defending the POS containing the capital ship assembly array you're using to build the titan, and a jump bridge network so you can move in minerals from empire more securely. This involves occupying a constellation against all the other alliances in the area for several months, and holding onto systems between empire and your build location. The expenses start to add up extremely quickly.

You need to define your parameters...
How much ISK does it cost to manufacture a Titan? 0ISK because the install fee and cost per hour on your Capital Construction Array have been set to 0...
or
How Much ISK does it cost to manufacture a Titan? "x" Billion for each of the "y" POS required to sustain the Constellation Sovereignty required, circa 1 billion ISK for each capital component BPO used and however many billion for the Titan BPO itself. Another however many billion for the DDD BPO, Capital Module BPOs...etc. Circa 30 billion mineral cost plus close on a billion in factory fees. Several billion in hauling contracts to bring the components on site.
Are you tring to determine how cheap a Titan could be produced? Or how much they can cost? --
