Been doing some EFT warriorÆing, in search of a deep strike wormhole vessel, I can pretty much rule out the legion at this time since its utter crap.
Currently our deep strike configuration is a heavy pure ECM ship, a DPS ship, and a scout.
I am pretty sure down the line we will be able to Tech3 2 of those ships, but atm the moment I donÆt see any use for those ships without the (covops / anti bubble) subsystems.
So if you would have to get a team of 2 ships Tech3, what would you use? And whatÆs the combination? Put in mind with no officer stuff, I wont pay more than 100mil for a model.

I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

I see absolutly no use for a cruiser that costs more then a carrier other then a shiney primary. |

Imho ATM you really get a T3 ship when you want your 15 seconds of fame.
... the 15 seconds it takes for you to be insta-primaried and killed. |

T3's strength is in solo versatility. If you're in a gang with highly specialized roles there is nothing a T3 can do better than a t2 or battleship. Example: Falcon is a far better pure ecm boat than a tengu. A battleship with a tackler will do more dps than any t3. A t3 will be able to do gimp dps with the covops and scanning subsystems, but honestly a pilgrim would be better unless you really need the expanded probe launcher.
If you want to do a t3 gang your best bet is probably using the rr subsystem or a proteus and loki doing their 50km tackle thing.
Why do you think the legion is crap? |

Don't pay hat much for it then :).
I will pay 300 Mill for it when it becomes more common tho, may take a few months.

T2 is supposed to be better at thirs filed of specialization still. T3 is more a general purpouse ship. But at least for the T2 Tengu, it will rocks is solo and samll gang PvP.

What numbers would you like to see? A Vulture has a 25.87% shield resistance gang boost. A Tengu has a 28.12% and a Nighthawk comes last at 22.5% For a passive tank gang the T3 ships are better than T2 ships at gang boosts. The amour ships follow the same pattern. ______ How to Passive Shield Tank T2

Edited by: AARRGGHHH on 30/04/2009 22:56:17 I dunno, I like some of the fits you can do with the Legion. For example, if you need a ship that can jump in, add extra tackle and help break any active tank setup (which you are more likely to find than a buffer tank) then you could try this:
[Legion, Mega neut] Damage Control II Armor Thermic Hardener II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Capacitor Power Relay II
10MN Afterburner II Warp Scrambler II Stasis Webifier II Medium Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 50
Medium Energy Neutralizer II Medium Energy Neutralizer II Medium Energy Neutralizer II Medium Energy Neutralizer II Medium Energy Neutralizer II Small Energy Neutralizer II
Capacitor Control Circuit I Capacitor Control Circuit I Ancillary Current Router I
Legion Electronics - Energy Parasitic Complex Legion Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Legion Offensive - Drone Synthesis Projector Legion Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst Legion Defensive - Augmented Plating
Hammerhead II x5
*Taking all relevant skill as V*
Whilst this wont have the extra range flexibilty of a curse, what it does have is some SERIOUS neuting ability. Per run of just the medium neuts removes 1350 cap (every 12 seconds), add the small on top and you have an extra 81 (every 6 seconds). So for every 12 second period you can have 1512 cap removal hitting about every 1.75 seconds if you stagger the neut activation. This will pretty much instantly cap out most cruisers. The best thing about it is that it's *ALMOST* cap stable, you can make it cap stable with everything running with cap booster 50 charges. If you carry larger charges as well you make it more resistant to counter neuting.
It also has a fair buffer on there (just in case the your ECM boat misses a cycle)with 98,635 EHP, or 105,111 EHP if you replace the EANMs with Amarr Navy ones. I suppose the idea would be to wait till a friendly Arazu has scanned down and scram/sd (or if you have a rapier web+point) then jump in on top, killing their modules adding a little dps whilst some bigger dps ship jump in and lay in some fire.
That could be one setup you could use for the Legion.

T3 ships are way to expensive right now to use in pvp. You would honestly be better served by making a fleet of [].
A[a couple Carriers and a Moros]
B[Several Blackops and free stealth bombers for everyone willing to join your blob]
I gaurentee either option will be more enjoyable. That is assuming you have the alts around and can dual box well.
On a completely different topic I beleive T3 cruisers will preform alot more like light T2 battlecruisers than cruisers. Agility/speed/buffer...
