Edited by: aufeeg on 30/04/2009 13:07:11 Ive looked through the forum sections looking for info about joining the military but cant find anything, im just wondering how it might change my game.. could i still travel relatively safe as long as i dont go into certain areas ? or will i probably get nailed as soon as i undock ?
would my steath bomber be handy for sneaking round and maybe popping the odd easy target ? (im in a 2 man corp and my corp mate is hardly ever on so im on my own a lot of time)
what side shall i join ? what sides are available and how do i join them ?
if anyone could give me any advice or point me to a place that has all that type of info id much appreciate it..
thanks..

if your talking bout faction war, you can travel pretty safely in your militia's high sec, although i have seen enemy ships about, but rare
stealth bomber good ship, but just fly what you can afford to lose, either go out with corp mates (if your corp joining) or join one of the fleets forming up in your militia channel
you, or corp needs cetain standings to join f/w. its not high for an individual player to join, 0.5 i think.
sides are gallente/mimatar caldria and amarr
to join open up the icon militia office at a station in the sovereignty you wish to join and click join, either as a corp (director needed) or just yourself.

thanks minx :)
it sounds like it could be fun but could be a bit of a pain if you just want to fly round and buy a few parts or something like that..
will i get attacked by concord if i fly to the other factions territory ?

NO, but you will get attacked by the other factions navy which will not one shot you like concord but still can be dangerous in of itself.

The faction police that shoot you are easy to avoid if you are in a cruiser down. As far as your concerns about access to market hubs don't worry. Each faction has a market hub available to them a few jumps from where the action is.
Stealth bombers will always be welcome just be prepared to lose it.
To join FW just go to any station in that factions space and select the militia office. As long as you have .5 standings with that faction you can join.
All sides are available and as far as which one you want to join that is up to you. You can either just go the role playing route to choose a faction or you can browse the forums and see what each side has to offer. *hint the Amarr/Matari conflict is best represented in the Intergalactic Summit forum. ---------- This post brought to you by the worst PVP'er in Eve |
