Maybe I'm just too noobish but i cannot move probes around. I'm launching a probe on my location and can change scan-range and so on, but I cannot use the directional arrows to move the probe (left-click only rotates the map, right-click drags the map). The arrows do appear on the solar-system map but cannot be highlighted for dragging like explained in the tutorial. Am I doing anything wrong?

I think there are reports of this in other threads but its not happened to me yet.
1st thing I can offer is have you tried to clear your cache? There's an option under 'reset settings' (or a similar named tab) in the esc menu.

I've cleared the cache but still the same problem. Launched probe stucks on start location. I've used the search but using keywords like : problem, probe(s), exploration, move and so on resulted in too many hits .

I've had a problem where the cube and arrows don't appear on the map. Recalling the probes and sending them out again sorts that one out. If I deploy more probes after the first cube-and-arrow no-show, I keep getting cubeless probes.
Probably not the same problem you're having since you mention that you actually have the arrows on screen, but I wonder if recalling and relaunching might help?

If it sounds like a bug, submit a BUGREPORT, not a petition. GMs can't help you with bugs.
And read the bugreport howto before submitting and follow it to the letter.

I have found a number of problems with the probes after the last patch. 1. Clicking and holding on the movement arrows does not always allow the probe to be moved. 2. Accidently right clicking a probe will cause it to zoom off either diagonally upwards or downwards and you have to scroll way out to locate it and drag it back. 3. Positioning the globe above or below the ęplaneĘ seems much more difficult now and the probe can appear in the correct place but on rotating the group the probeĘs globe can be positioned way above or below the rest of the group. 4. It is very difficult to move the probes when first deployed in a tight group near your ship, someone suggested itĘs better to drop the probes while on the move in your ship to space them apart.
I have however noticed if you click and hold on the cube faces a grid pattern will appear allowing the probe to be moved in any direction, also if the grid has a white bar displayed within the grid this shows the ęplaneĘ marker and that the probe is being moved in the vertical (I think Z) access.

It seems as submitting bug-reports is out of order at the moment, tried it a few times but without success (server disconnect). Keep waiting for my petition.

Tried again to submit a bug report using different browsers and computers but still the same problem...server disconnect after 1min. Also no response to my petition so far.
Keep on waiting

Solved the problem on my own, it seems as forcing antialiasing using ATIs Catalyst somehow prevents using the directional arrows. Disabled AA in the driver-settings and probes can be moved as intended. It's not a very nice solution but it works at the moment.
