yay people like commentary \o/
after doing it and looking back theres a lot of stuff i would have rather said but i can work on it the future. i think the commentary will always appeal, and in a way be targeted towards newer players..
i agree this is a feature eve videos have needed, i love education/information options when it comes to videos. glad im not alone =)
sidephex or whoever was asking- ill upload to eve files when i get home.
and in the future i may add the mp3 to a second render of the video, so they are combined and you just have the option to download either version(or both of course). This time i deleted my fraps folder immediately after i posted the vid so that wasnt an option. and tbh this method is a lot less work for me, and in a way less work for you since you only have to download 1 vid and 1 small mp3 rather than 2 vids.
anyway keep the feedback coming dudes its always helpful for whatever i make next.

Great video, Kil2, and I have to say that I too enjoyed the audio commentary; it's an awesome way to gain extra insights into PvP, for any new player that's thirsting for useful knowledge (such as myself). If you would choose to make similar mp3 files for your older videos, I would certainly download them and download/watch those videos a second time. |

tell you what, pick an old video and ill go do commentary for it in a few hours when i get home from school =) im not sure which would fetch the most interest, so i leave that decision to you

not sure which formats support that feature, but some video formats allow u to add 2 different audio tracks.
that would be an option.

Can't remember the name of it but the one where you take on the gate camp at the very end of the movie in a Geddon by overheating your armour rep. Some arse kicking fights in that movie and a good sound track!!
BTW the audio commentary in your new vid is just golden, plenty of insights and stuff to practice. Its a pity some FC's dont do the same for fleet fights - having situational awareness wins pvp and its great to get a chance to peer inside players who excel at it once in a while.

Well, seeing as the whole point of this exercise would be that you would tell us newbz about things that we're missing/not seeing/not completely understanding, it's hard for me to pick the video where I'm missing the most useful stuff, if you catch my drift (not that I'm completely daft and ignorant).  I think you should provide commentary for the video where you feel you've got the most to share--unless other people overwhelmingly favor commentary for one particular vid, of course.

Thought it was a really enjoyable video, and the commentary added a great deal to it. For another commentary? It's hard to pick just one, but I'd have to say Ursa Unleashed.

i think i might have said ursa unleashed too. i did armageddon though and ill post it in a new thread in a sec. i think ill just make one thread and post commentaries in it with links to the original videos. so ill go do that now!

Very nice as always and I quite enjoyed the commentry despite knowing most of that stuff. Seeing as you use mkv format already could you in the future include (if possibly) so that commentry is selectable as the secondary audio channel?
P.s. Do you avoid static camps and large groups by checking the map or is it just hit and miss. Somehow I often tend to end up like a roadkill when flying t1 stuff solo in 0.0, perhaps timezone thing or something like that (one of my plate ruppies narrowly escaped a kraftwerk gang only to run smack right into a 20 man tcf gang).

Just downloaded the commentary but I got an idea right now about future versions. I'm not 100% sure but I think h264 codec can handle multiple audio tracks and common players like vlc or mpc can select them.
Think it would be a real cool think to put them in as a seperate audio track into one dl. Makes out lives easier, saves hdd space and rendering time and it is just awesome somehow.

Kil2 I dont know how you do it but you seem to consistently get the most epic fights ever.
Cant remember the last vid of yours I saw but you soloed a pair of myrmidons and it was SOOOOOOOO close. Commentary on your old vids would be fantastic ♥
