And a few gyros. 1x mar II, 2x EANM II, dcu II will tank a decent amount of rats, or you could use specific hardeners. Dunno what to put in the highs. Maybe a neut and nos.

Doesn't really matter, in either case a phoon is best. 4 launchers and 5 heavy drones are sufficient to kill the bs rats which leaves 4 other high slots for choice of tractor, salvager, heavy neut, cloak, autocannon or arty.

Ichandasil Minmatar Department of Defence	Posted - 2009.05.02 21:14:00 - [6] Used to do all my ratting in 0.0 in a Typhoon, problem is align time when a red shows up in system. Now I use a Hurricane, does plenty 'o DPS, tanks well, aligns faster and not so much to lose.

"Minmatar 0.0 ratting BS or BC" Does Minmatar modify the type of 0.0 space (i.e. Angel space)? Or, does Minmatar modify the type of BS or BC you wish to use against whatever your local rats are? The type of rat could matter. For instance, if you are going against Angel or Gurista rats in a BC you might do better with a Cyclone because of the higher base explo and kinetic resists on shields. With Gurista in a BS you might want to use a Maelstrom for the shield tanking as well. However, as I said I find the Phoon to be so adaptable and capable of sporting some defensive high slot mods that in my opinion it is the best Minmatar ship to rat with regardless of the faction.

He has not specified what area of 0.0 so we can not say what type of hardeners to use, but could give him a rough idea and i'm sure he has a high enough IQ to swap the hardeners to suite.
