T3 is not that much better then t2. I can get a Ishtar to 62k EHP (92k armor with implants), 475 DPS, cap stable at 88% and sucks 1600 cap per minute from target ship and its all t1 named + t2 fitted.

Well the setup below with almost full slave implants sits at 309k EHP, with 473 DPS from its drones. It permaruns everything including its MWD, and you can sacrifice 50-100k of the EHP to fit more utility/DPS in the high slots.
I dont think the Ishtar can really get close to this. And mind you, the cost of the ship and its subsystems aside, this is with T2 modules only, faction modules take these babies to pure OP status.
If the prices drop to T2 levels, nobody will be flying T2 imo.

Thats because your a fleet nerd. And the point was not to make the best fit it was to make the highest damage fit with only T2 and T1.
And pontificating about your expert proteus fitting skills is easy if you don't offer an improved fit.
I can do it too - your fittings all suck, I can do much better. Ganking Buddhist Nun |

Originally by: Herzog Wolfhammer Hey I can get a Hurricane through 20 jumps of high and low sec as a war target. Can you say pucker factor?
But c'mon now, don't you think it would me more interesting if trespassers, usurpers, noobs, other rats, war targets, and the like, would randomly drop into "your" system? Having to chase them around, using combat scanners, directional scans - would that not be more fun?
What of people trying to sneak in and do.... thing? I think a "Combat Patrol" of the various points of a system would be more rewarding than a Gate Camp. I see even in this thread that the campers are not that thrilled about having to do it to protect their assets.
You make it sound like we keep people out 24/7 ? As i said camps are used depending on the intell, Our system is more often than not full of reds. We dont live in some quiet little low sec pocket. We have quite a few of the big alliances cyno there junk in and out all day with reds just about everywhere.
I apologise if i was not clear or lead you to miss presumtion. We do not gate camp our home 24/7 infact its a great place to live for all types of pvp (always reds everywhere). Time and a place for gate camps tho. We didnt even know that T3 ship was coming in our scouts where swapping, We was actually waiting for another much larger target. Was quite the suprise when it came in tho, And we was quite shocked at the failure of his death.
I do understand what your saying tho.

This thread is **** and the OP with it.
My e-feelings are shattered, how will i recover
Reading more of this thread is giving me a further insight into the gate camp concept. It would appear that while there are some people who enjoy it, it's starting to look more like a chore. So the victim of success is that you now have to defend the hilltop once you have taken it, and the guys running about ratting and such get to have all the fun. In the past I presumed thta campers were all that sort of person who would race their 6-cylinder rusty Camaros against a Escort Wagon and think "I so PWND that guy" but now I am not so sure. I insist even more now that a jump should randomly drop people into the next system not only for those who might not like getting stuck in a gate camp, but for the poor fellows who have to gate camp.
Could it be probably that for every noob who gets podded in a gate camp and quits, there is an experienced player who also quits because it's all they get to do?

The only people who complain about gatecamps are carebears who get caught in them. You may call it a cowardly way to pvp, but EVE Online is an MMO. Massively MULTIPLAYER Online Game. Hence, multiplayer. That means, more than one player.
EVE is designed around PVP and teamwork. If one uses teamwork to snag a kill, how is any form is that cowardly? Any true PVPer will understand the importance of teamwork in EVE.
Stop complaining and adapt. How do you get around gate camps? Cloaks, Inertial Stabilizers, and Intelligence. ------> Om Nom Nom |

I agree, but when the victim does something so stupid, it's at least good for a few laughs. I mean, if you've reached this point in Eve you really should have at least a basic understanding of how the game works.
After all, Ravens with a full set of Civilian Shield Boosters, Gyro Stabs and Expanders have gotten old.
