Please contact me for transfer of said individuals.
Hugo! I never in a million years would have guessed any charitable cause could sway you from the allure of profit and personal gain. While normally such an innacurate characterization would sew the seeds of uncertainty in my fragile psyche, yours is the kind I lend preference to over all others. Your kind words and honest intentions warm my amenable heart, and I pray this example engenders such generosity in our peers.
I'll be in touch as soon as possible!
love to all, xoxo

Edited by: Rahla Kesi on 19/12/2004 19:06:56 Currently, we are still accepting homeless and slaves for employment opportunities from pilots. Donations are still welcome. We have, however, not made any leeway in allowing pilots to transport former slaves to the GLB headquarters for job placement in the GLB movie productions. In the meantime we have setup a risky expansion program so that the former slaves to do not need to be transport. Instead we will have current GLB employees travel to these systems to train and setup on-site location crews and site scouts.
This expansion is unexpected but this is a chance to turn a threat into an opportunity. It will be higher cost, but it should yield a higher profit in the long term. Our mutually beneficial program will continue to help the former homeless and slaves to prosper and grow with the GLB.
Additionally, after speaking with each of the major empires, we have learned that those slaves being found in transport by customs officers will be release to the system of their choice. Using this, we have returned a hand full of slaves who did not wish to work for the GLB by means of the customs officers. They charge us the fee (the same fee as everyone else) to transport these former slaves to the system of their choice.
Finally, most pilots have been donating former slaves and homeless, there had been no isk earned. This means that most of the isk cost has fallen on the GLB and with isk donations dwindling we had setup the date-a-bunny fundraiser. When slaves wish to return to the respective empires via the new customs officers, we must front a one-time fee. We accept this as a new cost of business and this is one of the cost the isk covers.

I've housed and supported all the slaves and homeless I've rescued from missions since I started getting those kind of missions. Lacking of a real option for those poor souls, I've let them be in my hangar at my corp's HQ in Amarr space. Though for some of them, it's been almost a year where they live, sleep and eat among my ships and other items. I've tried to clean up the mess, but it's a hangar no matter how you look at it. It's no life even for a homeless.
I'd be happy to donate a bit if you could give those homeless a daytime(?) job and something to work for. As for the slaves, I'll try to find a non amarr station and try to get the agents there to get the freed slaves over. If that fails, I'd appriciate your help of freeing them too.
I know that both minmatar agents and some gallente agents have started helping slaves out, but how about other factions? Do IB or SOE help slaves out?

Good Day again,
I apologize for the absence of continued updates. Discussions with the Empires toward allowing pilots to transport former slaves to the GLB headquarters for employment in our GLB productions have not gone well. The empires do not wish to make an exception for the GLB with the feeling that their current systems are superior to ours.
While this is a set back, we are still looking for more employees to aid the GLB in our new ventures. While homelessness remains a problem in many regions of space, we have helped lessen that burden by offering these individuals an opportunity to shape the GLB and the life styles of pod pilots everywhere. We are calling out again to pilots who may be aware of or are sheltering homeless seeking employment and a place to call home.
This call is to help us expand into new and exciting ventures. We're not just about movies anymore. The GLB is looking into the highly creative music industry, fashionable clothing lines, and never before thought up personal care items for distinguished pod pilots everywhere. And that's just the beginning; there is more to come. So, if you are made aware of homeless individuals seeking a home and opportunity to be as creative as they are, please pass our name along. If they need a lift to our HQ, don't be hesitating to give them a helping hand.
Please Eve-mail Kaleigh Doyle or myself (Rahla Kesi) if you need to connect us with some homeless from your region of space. --- Protecting that which cannot protect its self.

I came across 10 homeless persons while on patrol for Federal Intelligence in the Haine system. Following the loss of my Tristan-class frigate, I returned to the Bereye system, where I have sheltered these unfortunate souls for over a month now.
I would be quite interested in finding them a home or gainful employment within the Federation. As I was unable to contact Ms. Doyle, it's nice to have an alternate POC in the GLB. I shall be in touch regarding these citizens.

The disgusting amarrians pretend to care about slaves yet they are the reason for this vile trade. Between them and the Caldari with their greed they create homeless and slavery. The Glamour Bunnies are truly helpers of the needy and hopeless. We need more of their ilk in the universe.

I would just like to send out my personal gratitude to Clementina of RONA-VORTEX for her efforts in sending State refugees in our direction for rehabilitation and employment within the GLB. These lucky individuals will now be set on the path of economic freedom due in large part to the generosity of my fellow pod pilot.
Also, a large cache of ETERNAL skin cream will be shipped to her home promptly as an additional bonus for her charity.

Edited by: Rahla Kesi on 27/03/2005 20:49:24 I would like to thank Kendar for his aid. Kendar was able to introduce us to 10 homeless people who are thrilled to be given an oppurtunity to gain their independence back. Additionally, Kendar made a ISK donation to our program and while such donations are not asked for, we do accept them and will put the donations into our new ventures or into aiding former slaves and homeless - which ever way you desire your ISK to distrubuted. --- Protecting that which cannot protect its self.

In light of recent events with the Federation, I've taken it upon myself to relocate the GLB's operations facilities from Gallentean space to the Minmatar Republic. I will begin contacting Matari government officials to discuss re-integration and naturalization of ex-slaves for employment within their borders. Whilst I recognize no exceptions can be made on our behalf, I do hope the bureaucracy of the Republic isn't as sluggish as our previous affiliates.
In order to meet the sharp demand for unskilled labor, we are currently seeking Homeless and ex-Slaves for employment in the following areas:
- Waste Management
- Lab Support
- Factory Machine Operation
- Security
- Data Entry
- Speech Translation
- Dictation
- Personal Assistant
- Human Resource Management
- Food Preparation
- Advertising
- Customer Service
What you can do
Pilots, if homeless are overwhelming your private bays, or if you know a recently freed (slave) family in need of a fresh start, please, don't hesitate to contact myself or our Vice President, Rahla Kesi. We will arrange for the transfer of these hopeful souls, and reshape the lives of those who are less fortunate.
Thanks, xoxo

Indeed, bless those poor homeless slaves!
However I noticed one of your intended jobs for them is food preparation. Now from my personal experiance I find that freed slaves and homeless are realy not the most sanitary of people. There fore in the interests of health and safety I'd advise you to enter all possible employees into a rigorus cleaning program, otherwise you may get a serious case of mass food poisoning. Also perhaps they should go through some kind of fashion program, as lets face it they have no sense of style or taste. May I add how reasuring it is to see you doing somthing for the lower class delinquents of this world. You have my support the elections Kaleigh .

Many thanks Quela. And yes, we take care of the our employees by supplying them with the necessities of survival such as food, clothing, living quarters(with a shower).
The exotic foods we're pampered with thanks to Ms. Liskrii and her assistants are more than we could have ever dreamed of.

Edited by: Ysabelle nKataros on 28/04/2005 17:45:14 I don't exactly understand your methods for securing the freedom of slaves but I know and respect you. I will personally donate 50 million ISK if you can guarantee to me that this will be used directly for the freedom and benifit of slaves and former slaves.

Rest assured, all those who get into food preparation are given proper training in food safety and hygiene before they are allowed near the food. I make sure of it personally. And you'd be amazed what some of them are capable of making with only the basic training and a little bit of encouragement.

The GLB Help the Homeless Program operates in the four Empires. It is design to give both the homeless and former slaves an opportunity to take back control of their lives. As part of the agreement to operate in all the Empires, our program will not participate in the creation or freeing of slaves. Hence, the program itself does not have the material or strategic means to actively free slaves.
ItÆs an individual pod-pilot who directs homeless and freed slaves to us. Many members of the GLB have spent their personal time and resources to free slaves, but the program itself cannot. This allows the GLB Help the Homeless Program to be identified as a charitable organization in the four Empires û aiding freed slaves and homeless to find their own path in society with new opportunities.
---
Ysabelle,
The GLB Help the Homeless Program cannot guarantee your ISK would be used ôdirectly for the freedom and benefit of slaves and former slavesö as it is not within the organizations capacity to do so.
You could personally direct your ISK to this task on an individual basis and we would be happy to help you in finding employment and can guarantee aid to those you freed. Please contact us if you are ever in a situation where we could be of assistance in this capacity.
