My keyboard has served me well but I am in need of a new one beyond the standard QWERTY approach with a few extra keys and im wondering if someone could recomend a keyboard that is both good for gaming but also could be useful to the photoshop user (extra keys to assign various actions, etc).

I personally like the eclipse KB. Using it for couple of years now and still serving me well. :) Thinking about the Eclipse III should my current one die.

no extra buttons tho. also using PS, so no worries there

Just bought the orange G15 to replace my old blue one. Is a very nice keyboard, feels perfect, just the right number of programmable keys. And awesome orange key lights.

Not very surprisingly, everybody recommends the G15. If it's out of your price range, go for the G11.

Both solid typing keyboards, but they lack the extra buttons required.
I roll a G15 and its pretty solid. Bit of a bastard to take apart and clean but not impossible.
Confirming that its leagues better than a Razer board which, imo are overpriced and feature-thin. The "battlelight" is a complete joke compared to underkey lighting and the key action is too laptop-like.
I'm personally waiting for the Roccat Valo to come out, essentially a restyled G15 with a rubberised surface. Unfortunately its been "delayed" for months so I doubt it'll be out any time soon.
OCZ also pitch some gaming keyboards now. Cheap as hell, but basic and highly rated.
