Ok, so, this is clearly a stupid question. But, last night, I figured I'd generate a new character, just cause it's fun.
And all I was allowed to choose were its race, bloodline, gender, and appearance, and then I got plopped right into the game.
I didn't get to move points between attributes or skills at all. Very surprising.
Then I noticed that as a new character I get two attribute remappings and 100% increased training time for skills.
Is this the new way they're doing new characters?
And, if so, how long does the 100% training bonus last?
I'm sure these questions have been answered elsewhere, but I fail at searching. My apologies...
Thanks.

I would've thought it'd be rather obvious that this is the new way they're doing characters.... Seeing as how you've actually made one with the new system and all.
And it lasts until you've got 1.6 mill sp. |

The new 8/8/8/8/7cha base attributes, 100% training boost and negligible starting skills are there since Apocrypha 1.0. To be more precise, due to some creative abuse from the users ("hey, let's have battleship 5 train when I'm at 1.59 mil SP") and lazyness on CCP's part ("why bother calculating everything fairly"), the bonus lasts until the skill you START (or queue up) would put you over 1.6 mil SP when it finishes - since Apocrypha 1.1

Edited by: Jack Z on 06/05/2009 13:51:39 I think it's bin like that before Apoc already, not sure though (but yes, it's the new way they do it).
The 100% bonus lasts until you reach 1.6m SP, or until you start training a skill that will pass 1.6m SP. hover your mouse over your SP in the Character sheet and you'll see.
Cheers, Jack
edit: wow, I'm slow

Probably, Just thought it was a bit silly to ask if that's the way it works when you've already tested it yourself ^^ |

eve on easy mode,
you've now got enough time to remap everything into int and mem, train the learning skills right up, then remap your atts to where you really want them. ----------------------

Point taken. I am bit obsessed with details I guess.
