I couldn't have said it better then that. You maybe not think of it as a big deal, but god awe full idea. You're introducing a new breed of players and it must change. The odds can be against you in minute! I haven't a clue why you would think it would better my pvp experience either. You just make it so the other side has a chance to survive.
Take a 5V5 fight and add small corp with remote rep on the side. Now you have a fight that 5V10. If I shoot the blinking red people who remote rep then you have counter a new fight.
Maybe this is a ISSUE Is a programing error and CCP can't figure out to have friendly reping in mission. But when the game is PVP, the chance of survival is non.

Edited by: Robert Caldera on 08/05/2009 06:45:27 what is the issue?? If they blink you may shoot them at will, I dont get your problem, really. If there are 5 reppers additionally to the 5 actual enemies fighting you it IS a 5V10, youre outnumbered. So what?

Where is the problem? Your 5v5 fight became 5v10, no different to 5 of their corpmates logging in and joining the fight.

I don't see a problem.

The only real bug caused by not flawed code is: - You start repping a non-criminal in highsec which means that the non-criminal can decide to kill the repper by calling concord whenever he likes to. (Yes i know - im aware that the bughunters do not accept this as bug - but i dont care, maybe they should learn new categories like "sorry, dont bother because its close to impossible to exploit" instead of putting everything into the "works as intended" classification.)
Your problem is annoying but basically no difference to a wardecing corp with "sleepers" joining the corp in time or not logged in players of this corp waiting with prepared ships on the same station. Same problem occours also in faction war - even if its a dedicated region for faction war, non-faction war players got influence by remote repping. Roleplay wise a problem, because some races are proud and avoid sec status hits ;o)
Basically you are outnumbered.
But yes also your case is basically an exploit, because the difference to real enemies is, that they got the nasty chance of an alpha strike. You are not able to hit their support before they decide to start the reppers. In highsec even worst then in faction war, because harming them would lead to concord-death.
