Hello,
I realize the Mac client is not perfect, and it has always crashed since the first day I began playing, but I would hope it would have gotten better with the last patch. I am running the latest OS version, have all my drivers updated, and I am still crashing 10+ times per day. I end up rebooting my MAC OS computer A LOT. This is not Windows. 
I am going to start opening petitions for my crash logs again. I was told by CCP last week that there was a patch incoming that would fix my crashes. It has not. Oh, and the "Sorry, you have too many petitions" message I got the other day is real nice. Thanks for limiting the amount of problems I can report. Your probably right, having three open issues is way too many for me to have. 
Here are some fun facts:
1) The game crashes nearly every time I exit game
2) Most of the time it crashes when I am in a fleet
3) Sometimes it crashes so hard that my entire computer is locked up and I have to do a hard-reboot. This happens at least two or three times per day.
4) I have tried rebooting, not running any other programs, clearing my cache, re-installing the game, updating my OS, updating my video driver, etc. etc.
Just stating the obvious here in case someone at CCP was not aware that there are issues and they happen to stumble across this thread.

FYI, you don't petition crashes, you bug report them. GMs (the guys that handle petitions) can't do anything about bugs.

That would explain why they keep telling me to run in windowed mode, or to clear my cache. lol
I forgot about reporting them as bugs. :(

same for me, I report them as bug. but client crashes more often then ever.
installed eve multiple times, reinstalled system but nothing helps. Looks like every new version or patch makes it worse

well you never did say if you are running on supported hardware or a supported OS version.
Eve is a harsh place you won't always have everything go your way, its a do or die world and people do what they can to get along, so before you quit,

Check * CPU: Intel based 2 GHz or better
Check * OS: OS X 10.5.6 or later
Check * Video: ATI HD2600 PRO or NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Check * RAM: 2 GB
Check * HD space: 6.0 GB or more
Check * Network: Broadband Internet connection
On a side note, I did get a reply from ccp about my crashing problems. They say there is a new patch incoming to hopefully resolve it.

Your answer is interesting not for what you say, but for what you DO NOT say.
We had past experience with someone that did pass all those checks and still was not playing on an original Mac.
Maybe not your case. But still a possibility.
