For some of those longggg hauls, would it be possible to jump while offline, similar to the skill learning.

this would imply that the ship becomes likea npc :)
what happens if you get shot??

never going to happen.
although - if they would implement ths, it implies that player ships stay in space all the time and never dissappear - end to log-off tactics \o/

not going to happen.. ever.. get use to it.. you will not be able to log of and your ship will move to your destination, fire back, will not auto do agents, auto mine and auto haul.. sry if i sound like flaming but it's geting repeating same thing over and over again so that i am geting a head ake

Everyone makes a character, and a month later they get a billion isk and an EVE mail saying "You win!" because the character was busy while they were logged out. :-)
