damn.. since i`ve been out.. i lost track of all that patching.. and now.. i try to shield tank my raven baby... but dont get far...
Current setup:
hi:
6 X Siege
med:
XL-C5L
thermal hardner
EM hardner
Shield boost amp
Shield boost amp
Large shield extender II
low:
Power diag II
Power diag II
cap power relay
cap power relay
CPU II
i thought about going with a heavy cap booster, or cpa rechargers II but wanted to hear your version on the story first.

P.S considering myself still a n00b.. i am guessing that a Thron wont use EW.. so either Blasterthron or tanked... what raven setup can kill it cuz i`m still looking for it..

nobody uses extenders on tanks, and 2 amps are too much. more hardeners > other stuff.

6 siege, 2 nos,
1 Xlarge C5L, 3 hardners, 1 shield boost amp, 1 heavy cap booster w/800's
Lows to make it fit. PDU2's, RCU2's, depending on gear CPU2, if I recall you can fit everything without a CPU2, stick in a 25% cargo expander to fit a few more cap 800's.
or
6 siege 2 small guns
1 XL C5L, 1 shield boost amp, hardners
5 balistics
Nasty nasty damage.

Lows to make it fit. PDU2's, RCU2's, depending on gear CPU2, if I recall you can fit everything without a CPU2, stick in a 25% cargo expander to fit a few more cap 800's.

id like to see you fit 6 sieges without help of lowslots... i sure as hell cant do it, and i have maxxed fitting skills (engi/elec/weap upg 5)

Cap relays in a shield tanked ship?
Bad idea......And also i've heard that if u put over 2 ballistic things u don't get THAT big difference in damage.....

Very deadly at 20Km, where the Nosferatus and Disruptor work, and the low speed of torpedoes doesn't matter too much. The named gear will set you back around 90-100m, but rather than getting another battleship, you just get a kick-ass one instead  .
Alternatively, take out the Nosferatus and the PDUs, and replace the low-slots with Ballistic Controls and the high-slots with whatever will fit. Better suited to ranged conflict, and does a lot of damage.

Iv been testing ma tempest out against shield tanked ravens 1v1, and im not impressed anymore... i would say im really surprised...
TBH, anything that shield tanks will NOT beat an armour tanker at the mo with anyone fitting with half a brain...
ur just gonna run out of cap too quick with the ravens shield tank, where the guy armour tanking will prob have bout 200 recharge...
unless im missing some kind of uber fitting for ravens that makes them so popular now?.

I am sure it could do with some tweaking, and it opens up the possibility of ECM, but the damage output is a lot lower naturally.

If you try to shieldtank without an injector you'll be dry in no time and dryness = death.
Having to balance the number of missiles to the number of boosters is a pain in the arse, you'll have difficulty carrying enough for an extended engagement.

yesturday TANK CEO and one of his buddy`s were flying 2 ravens with 2XMWD..
for raven or scorp impossible to hit them... interesting setup

IIIQIII your probably aware but i will tell u anyway, cap power relays have been nerf'd and u simply cant use them on a shield tank as they reduce shield boosting 10% per relay u put on!
