So after having some unpleasant experiences with the last two patches I manually download and applied this patch and then started eve. A ?Transgaming? update was then applied (after a yes/no, I chose yes :)) and I made it to the startup screen. So using this method, so far so good \o/.

Patched fine for me (51Mb plus some secondary downloads while patching) and game opened and played fine in-station. Dealt with some market and agent work and it was stable.

Still Cider version 2317.
That's a bit disappointing.

I have yet to have a problem with an Eve patch, and I've been playing since original Mac release (Rev II?). For some reason I get more worried that the next one will be the one that sets my system on fire or something

I have yet to have it "kill" me mac (knocks on wood)
So yeah... I think alot of the hype and panic is for those who are outside of the current specs of the current build and or modifying there systems to run EVE in some form or fashion.
Course I tend to push mine a little too hard at times and it will do funny funny things but I blame myself and not CCP for THOSE incidents. ========================= CEO of Shadow Cadre http://www.shadowcadre.com ========================= Dependable, Honorable, Intelligent, No-nonsense Vote Herschel Yamamoto for CSM! |

hello everyone.
i patched without difficulty and thought, 'finally, a release that made it out of beta'. but then i experienced the black screen of death.
will eve ever get out of beta, much less macs from sub-beta? it is an open question that i do not know the answer to.
cheers |
