hm.. relevant tank skill...gunnery /missile launcher op.. energy skills... and well did you even say if for combat?..

Get all your basic and advanced learning skills to IV and get your learning skill to V. This will help you more than you can possibly know in the long run even though it does nothing in the short run.

You picked a bad day to ask this question. It's patch day, which is the day all the old bitter veterans of this game realize for a while that even after 5 years, all of their accomplishments are inside a video game which they literally have no control over. You might recognize this from any other MMO's you have played = )
Its angry bitter nerd b**tch day, so you might want to come back in a couple. LOL

Learning V
First tier learning skills to 4.
Second tier to 3.
Should be high up the list of things to do. Grind enough ISK to get +3 Implants (Cybernetics skill needed) will also be useful long term (until you die horribly... so scratch long term).
racial Frigate to 4 as well so you can fly somewhat better ships and opens up Crusiers.
Gunnery or Missile Launcher Operation, Engineering, Electronics, Mechanic & Hull Upgrades should also be pushed quite high preferably 5'd.
If that doesn't keep you somewhat busy then well... you know what your doing already :)

Dont train any skill to a level that will take more than 20 hours to do in your first 15 days. (edited from 30 after some additional thought)
Wait until you know what you wanna do, at least somewhat.
The learning skills are great once you decide you like this game (hint, ignore the forums, or just come here to laugh, the fun is IN game).
Download these programs
Eve Mon
EFT
and if you have an iPod, download Capsuleer.
Eve Mon will help you plan out skills for ships you wanna fly well. EFT will help you fit those ships with weapons you can use, and Capsuleer for the iPod is just cool.

I've read that Electronics V, Engineering V and Evasive Maneuvering V are extremely useful whatever your career path and ship race of choice ends up being.
Together are more than half a month worth of training, so when in doubt, it's either the Learnings or those three for starters.
