I talked to one of the guys that runs this site and he said they're looking to launch an EVE portal when they can get some more content. I'm looking forward to it, these guys are pretty diligent about the other games they have portals to, and I enjoy the hell out of their forums (which are down for the next few days while they revamp things)

I agree, the "EVE" in caps anywhere it appears in text seems a little kitschy, but harmless :)

What probably happened is that he wrote the article using 'eve', realised it was all capitalised about 2 minutes before the deadline, did an emergency search and replace and submitted it.

I have not seen so many misconceptions about EVE in one place for a long time. A very bad read for a new player. You might want to remove that link.

1. There's more than just 5k systems now, closer to 8k actually.
2. No, you CAN'T fly between systems, you never would get a system transition, so even if you were at the location where the other system should be, you're still in the OLD system. Also, it would take DECADES, not weeks nor months.
3. I never met anybody calling lowsec "syndicate space". You know, except the region called "Syndicate", which is not entirely lowsec either. Meh.
4. POS means "Player owned Structure", not "Player owned Station". When you say POS, you usually mean "tower". Stations, we usually call them outposts.
5. Not all "almost only PVP" corps are pirate corps (just most of those that operate mainly in lowsec), and not all pirates do just PVP
6. Bored.
