The only ship I know of that can fit 4 DCM lasers, is a (Your not going to like it) Scorpion.
The lasers take so much CPU to fit, that this is the only ship with enough CPU to pull it off and still fit a load out that you would venture out into places where DCM lasers can be used.
You can fit two on a Blackbird, and I think this is the ship of choice for folks that actually mine with them.

Well apoc can't be fitted with 8 minersII either. You need 3co-procs2 installed. (and that's with electronics lvl5)

Megathron can fit 4.33 DCM Dominix can fit 5 DCM Before CPU enhancers.
Word of advice, though: DCM is still not very profitable, as they yield only one unit of ore per minute. The ore itself is too large and the mining lasers are very, very, ineffective. Add this to the huge amounts of Morphite corporations still have stocked from the time when high-end regular ore gave Morphite, you will not earn very much from mining Mecroxite, yet. Yet. --
If TC causes you discomfort that you feel is unwarranted or may be outside TC's current contract - contact me, please. |

My apoc has 4x Co-Proc I's and 8x Miner II's with Electronics lvl 3
So not sure where you got that info from

thanks all
perhaps the new mining laser comming with shiva should make mining mercoxit a littel less troublesome, might as well wait and see what happens

ospray (or equivalent minmatar cruiser) is best merx miner around if my assumption is right that the +20% mining also aplies to DCM. those 3 DCM will each pull 3 merx a round then with lvl 5 astrogeology, lvl 5 mining and lvl 5 cruiser.
anyone can confirm this?

I believe the bonus to mining yield doesn't effect Deep Core Miner.

you are correct, it only applies to normal mining lasers.

Does the skill "Weapon Upgrades" reduce the CPU requirements for Miners and/or Deep Core Miners? |

No it doesn't. Even though a mining laser is called a turret its not a weapon so it doesn't recieve the bonus.

If you get electroincs 5, you can easily fit 8 miner 2's along with a few armor reparirs and hardners for defense.
