Here, I'll state my case, and put on my flame ******ant suit as well.
I come and go from the game all the time. I stay for a few months get bored and leave for a month or two. Eve has its niche with me, but what it is I am not sure.
I was just in a great corp, the people were great and for the most part there were no problems at all. BUT....
I had nothing to do. I like to mine sure, but that gets old. Even in a group it gets old.
Missions....while the overwhelming excitement of shooting something that is about as bright as a burnt out candle is riveting in its own right, that two tends to get old.
Trade, ya, I love that. I have made and lost fortunes doing it. But it is right up there with mining, it gets boring....
SO, I start thinking PvP, but of course my skills are not that great, I get my backside handed to me once and I all the sudden get my man card revoked. There is a little corner of space so where with my nuts in a jar....I know they are out there cause I from time to time find them again and of course lose them all over again.
So what is it a pilot should do ?
I need a home, I am really not that sure what kind of home that should be.
I want active with out commitment. I want something to do with out being told to do it. I want my cake and to eat it too....without worrying about the weight gain from it.
Other then my witty humor and slightly odd outlook on things, I am a family man that drops 40 hours a week at a job and another 40 hours with his kids.
If you have any ideas on a corp you point me in the right direction.

This game has so much to offer and yet some do get bored. The boredom does not come from Eve my friend. You need something to keep you occupied. Something exciting. Something that will shine a light on those nuts so you never loose them again. Hit me up, I may have something for you.

Keep PvPing, use inexpensive ships (tech 1 frigates with T2 fittings, Tech 1 cruisers with T2 fittings, etc). When it's not expensive, it's easier to be gutsy when you don't really know what you're doing yet... I once attacked a Myrmidon with a Rifter, fully expecting to win . Search Battleclinic for loadout advice, search scrapheap-challenge for loadout and even piloting advice. Read stories on sites like eve-pirate.com. There are literally hundreds of resources to read up and learn the methods behind the madness, but there's no substitute for actually going out and doing it.
Learn to use the directional scanner to find targets, learn to pick your battles, your PvP (and with it, your overall game experience) will improve dramatically.

Its just about finding what "feels" right.
I can't say that I am a miner, or a pvp pilot or a hauler or anything really. So it is why the post seems so random. Otherwise I would be apply to most the corps I see here.

Knowledge Stick Station Are you interested in being part of a drug cartel in EVE? we are looking for all level of recruits. We are willing to help new players along, and teach them. We are a corporation built on loyalty.
We need all roles : ☼ traders ☼ manufacturers ☼ combat pilots ☼ miners ☼ logistics ☼ covert-ops ☼ industrial pilots
Our involvement in the largest Drug smuggling run to date in EVE history Video:
Biggest Drug smuggle. Take a look at this video.
We are growing fast and need more members to support our corporate growth, we have gotten rid of some bad weeds we require mature players, and a commitment to the corporation, as well as our profession. We are not looking for people who want to make money off it and thatĘs it, we want people who want to do it for the fun of smuggling/manufacturing drugs. We are in a very established Drug-cartel/alliance and hold up our end of the work ethic. We could really use more scanning ships, as-well as jumpfreighters and people who can gas harvest. 3+ million SP would be nice, but we'll work with anybody.

Edited by: General Spaz on 16/05/2009 18:28:38 I don't want to do a copy and paste, but here you go. Sounds like you need to belong to a corp that does it all, see if you can catch me online... would love to have a talk.
