I had the same issue but with People & Places failing to load as well. Seemed to work fine after I switched from Windowed to Fullscreen though.
Actually, Exefile.exe just crashed *whilst* I was writing that.

Chat just magically reappeared. I did nothing to get it back.

no chat channels here either. rest of game seems ok,its just the chats-also jioning a fleet does not bring up the fleet interface or fleet chat
all this happened after a socket closed disconnect

My channels are down and my pos is crooked, stretched, and at times barely there.
My ship also warps funny.

So, all chat windows went away, including fleet chat. Then there was this flash, and my Mega turned into an egg. Did I just level up?? When this egg hatches, do i get another Mega? Stay tuned for more useless posts like this while CCP plays "hide the chat window". Would petition it, but am sure their "servers report no problems on their side" and its somehow our faults this tragedy has happened. ROFL

i simply rebooted computer, restarted eve, and now my chat channels are back. no idea why for me it works, not for some of you.

I decided to hell with the channels, undocked my trade alt and warped her to the gate. She is currently 20 A.U. past the gate at the edge of the system, and moving slowly against the space-currents, further out into the depths...
