With CCP offering an excellent deal on setting up a second account atm...whats the best way to do this on the same computer to run both accounts at the same time ??
1) Run 2 games from the same install 2) intall the game to another drive, or rename the intall to EVE2.exe

Personally I run 3 accounts off the 1 install. Just need to launch the game 3 times (& remeber to change the login name for each)
You MUST turn off sun occlusion in the options on all accounts or they have a tendancy to become unstable for some reason.
Also you need a decent amount of ram or the swapfile will get used alot, allow 512MB for each client if possible

yeah, I'm running 2 accounts at the same time, but whenever there's fighting going on I launch the 2nd account on my 2nd computer. And heavy mining CAN make my computer lag a little, seems like my computer can't handle 18 lasers being rendered twice :P but that's just video lag, so I'm not unduly worried about it

If you copy the whole directory into a new one and make a new shortcut you won't have to change the name. This only snoops up hd space

The advantage of 1 install though is any player portrates etc will be shared between all accounts

When I run 2 or more sessions out of the same install directory I get BSOD's of many varieties. Happens on all of my computers. Others can do it though. I don't know what the difference is but when I run them out of different directories I have no trouble at all.
