scimitar - it doesnt have a (med) weapon bonus, so you wont feel so bad if you only use 280mm's - putting the gist back into logistics |

ruppy should manage a full rack of 720s with only 1 rcu. train advanced weapon upgrades.

Train for RCU II's Powergrid Rigs (forgot the exact name of them) As mentioned, Advanced Weapons Upgrade lowers powergrid need for turrets

720s are hardly worth fitting on non-specialized arty platforms(read:Muninn) imo. Higher range/alpha, but hard to fit and DPS is about the same if not lower than 650s(reloads+tracking).
Ruppie with something like:
4x650s MWD, LSE, point 3xgyro, 1-2xTE, 1-0xDC
Is probably best you could do with T1 cruiser and arties. That said, AC fitted it's far better...

Arties are pretty much broken if you ask me, not worth considering imo.
The Muninn with its tracking bonus though makes a half-decent midrange sniper though, but I wouldnt try to use arties on ships without the tracking bonus.
Needs AWU 4, didnt even bother with 720s.

Arty hurricanes do great dps and have decent range. Medium and small artillery are good its just large artillery that sucks. Your muninn fit is a wannabe hurricane that is overtanked.

Arty hurricanes arent bad, but they are battlecruisers while the OP asked for cruisers. Besides the Muninn got the decent boni for arty, while the cane got the AC boni.
And there is no such thing as overtanked if you are perfectly within half the hostile gangs weapons range. If your typical engagement range is around 60km, imo you are better of with extra buffer on your 100mill HAC than 10km extra range you never need.

The only reason to use a muninn over a hurricane is to get extra range but you can't lock that far without a sensor booster but instead he has an mwd and 2 lses. The hurricane doesn't have an ac or arty bonus (falloff/optimal), it has two damage bonuses. If you're typical engagement range is 60km the hurricane is better and almost as agile and quick as many cruisers.
