I can't stop myself from repeating it: "I wish I had FRAPS"
So I don't know how many believe it, but I guess GMs can see it happened in some server side logs or something :P
I warped to a belt, when I saw a capsule on my directional scan. It was a Capsule named Capsule. I right-click-showinfo on it to see who's in it and then I notice, as if it was a ship and the pilot had ejected. I fly close to it to see what happens. I thought what if I board it and I did. As I boarded it, it renamed into Alexander Universe's Capsule. I got a little worried about my rifter sitting in space without a pilot and I board it again.
When back in my frigate I realized: I had just boarded a pod in space, and boarded my rifter with it, as there was no capsule in the overview anymore.
Flame, don't believe, whatever. But that just made my day :D

There is a bug with pods atm, not sure what causes it.
The result is that there are pods occasionally which are empty, and cannot be targeted. In my exerience (this has happened maybe three times?) after downtime, they become viable targets again. You get a second killmail for the same pod you destroyed yesterday.

I targeted it, worked fine. Wasn't able to board it first because of it, so I took off the lock and boarded.
I wonder what had happened if I had popped it ... The owner was offline is and was at the moment

This happened to me once, boarded it thinking oh cool I'll fly it back to station.....oh wait.

I ejected 2 pods into space from an orca in ardene and then found I was unable to scoop them back up. But yes boardign an empty pod effectivly destroys it.
I destroyed one by boarding it in station I had 3 total at one time from some trial alts I destroyed while they were in a corp with me.
I petitioned the 2 i ejected into space and then couldnt scoop back trying to get the m back that way but as far as gms know its impossible to own an empty pod. :)
Additional thoughts; I wish pods could be contracted, at this time they can not be, therefor my plans of collecting 5000 and selling them for 5 billion isk wont work. :(.. you can still direct trade them I believe.

i still own a packaged pod, tugged away in a station. found it floating in space 2years ago and hauled it in.
interested parties can contact :P might be willing to sell it to a collector.
