I see these reports of null sec battles with hundreds of ships sometimes, take for instance the whole goons vs bobs thing.. Yet in FW anything over 50 players turns into a conundrum of countless "entering space" messages and ships that died 3 mins ago still on your overview.
I watched a battle today of 50+ players and it totally lagged out the system for many users and it literally took me 3 mins to warp away. I've been in fights like that before and had the desync issues happen and it makes trying to fight totally useless. This is with all settings low and a overview set with only enemy ships, yet still there are major lag issues.
The four various militias have as many if not more players than some of the large null sec alliances and we put as many kills on the KB's if not more than many of them. Yet we get treated like CCP's red headed step child because it appears CCP thinks it's "good enough".
Look, I'm not looking for changes in game mechanics for FW or system sov or any of that BS.. I just want to shoot space ships and make them blow up and I'd like to be able to do that with out having to log out because of lag from a 50 ship battle.
I understand CCP can't beef up every system, but there is not a good reason why they can't upgrade the servers for certain chains and give us at least a limited area to have larger battles on a regular basis.
For the Minmatar and Amarr it's the chain from Amamake to Kamala that get's most of the bigger fights. For Caldari and Gallente I'd assume it's the chain from Old Man Star to Tama.
Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to beef things up in these systems and it would also help out the various others that roam low sec. Why is it so hard to get this done?

Is it like that for your buds too?
Maybe it's your computer? Cranking my gfx down made a big diff for up to maybe 150 ships in theater. I live in Etherium Reach and AFAIK we've never petitioned to reinforce a node either.

I really don't think it's computer issues. I always set my graphics down to low if I'm doing or expecting any large gang stuff. IMO when you start seeing the "entering space" messages then it has to be a server issue, because computer lag wouldn't cause that.

you can bump all you want, but the truth still remains that the only two things ccp cares about are the players in 0,0 and their alt accounts and carebears in high sec.
they dont give a rats ass about anything that has to do with low sec and thats pretty much been going on the last 4 years
I am extremely, VERY HEAVILY ****ed off at this FW lag.
I am fine to losing ships.
Heck, I make MORE by losing ships due to insurance than buying them new so I actually earn money at losing ships but...
... but I am not after ISK, but after a game. A game where I actually play my part, fight and win or lose.
As of now it's a total lottery:
- You jump in the next low sec system and insta-lag for 5 minutes and find yourself podded.
- You jump in the next 0.0 system and everything is smooth as silk, with 3 times more ships involved (my corp does both FW and 0.0 roaming gangs so I see both the faces of it).
WHY the two weights and two measures?
Are those playing FW paying less than those who live in 0.0 or something?
Where did all those reports and log sent after CCP request end up? In some "one day bother with it, priority minus 100" cauldron, along with POS revamp, mining revamp and similar?
And needless to say, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER a ship got reimbursed, CCP logs are always magically empty when desyncs and mass lag happen.

Originally by: CCP RyanD Please don't "daily bump". As we already stated we are aware that users are having problems and we're actively looking into the root cause. As soon as more info comes available, we'll communicate it. Both the Virtual Worlds Operations team, and the Core Engineering team have been alerted to this situation, there is an extensive bug report on file and there are plans for diagnostic tests for SiSi in the works.
FW is an important part of the EVE experience and we want it to work well as much as you do. We're on it.

Sorry, but that doesn't really wash with me. Seeing somebody from your department saying "We're on it," is about as productive to me as "We've seen your thread, we'll consider it."
Since the developers that began working on the game have left, CCP as a company has failed to provide us with the close relationship that we used to have. Developers used to have full-on discussions with the playerbase in a variety of places in the forums regarding how players felt things should be or with the developers coming with an IDEA (read: NOT SOMETHING TO NECESSARILY BE IMPLEMENTED). A developer would then listen to the players and an active dialogue would begin.
Because you have decided that having a dialogue with your players is no longer important, we simply don't believe you anymore when you say you are working on it and don't show us proof by giving us what ideas or methods you have to working on something.
Sorry.
