In my journeys to check out multiple markets and to haul things I've made from my home base to the best markets, it would be very handy to have a way to insert a list of systems I want to go to and have an efficient route planned to get there.
Does such a tool exist?

That could be a very useful new feature (route planner) to EVE. Short answer is no.
You could do what I do though and utilise the other 2 character spots on your accounts and use them as market hub alts. Simply log them in to check the region market where they are.

I've got an eyes on the market alt for the most distant regions, but I still have 7 regions to check with this one.
Not to mention the hauling once I know where to sell the stuff I made. 
Its weird that a spaceship game requires dozens of sticky notes and hand-drawn route planners to play it. LOL

I think The eve client already has something that does that for you. Set all the way points you want to travel to and then open up your map. Then select the autopilot tab and under the autopilot tab select waypoints. At the bottom of the screen there is an optimize button. That plans out the shortest route to visit all the systems you set as waypoints. Is that what you are looking for?

EVEMAP I believe has a route planner, but I'm unaware if it can utilize multiple way point routes. Regardless it's a great out of game tool anyway and could be useful to you and anyone else looking for an out of game map.

It can.
Both EvEMAP and EvEHQ can do those things and very well.

You can already do this using the Eve autopilot.
Simply 'set destination' for your first stop, then use 'add waypoint' for the others.
This step is optional - When you're done, go to the map screen and click 'optimise' - it doesn't handle return trips or trips where you have to go in a particular order to end in a particular waypoint - it does however give you the most efficient route to get to all waypoints.
You don't actually use the autopilot - it just lights the gates a nice yellow colour so you can pick the next gate easily on the overview.
Also check your settings on the autopilot - there are a few options including 'safer' which tries to keep to high sec, 'shorter' - pretty obvious, it's the shortest path and one that keeps you in low sec as much as possible.
The options listed above are also handy - they are out of game planners and are a little smarter in some cases.
