Mothership are completly useless atm, they are just a big carrier which cost 15 B
Mothership should be given the opportunity to be usefull in cap fights as well as fleet fights, they should be able to put a 50 k radius buble using some sort of siege module, while they are in siege they obviously benefit from the normal siege bonusses on armor/shield rep.
they would then also be usefull to tackle titans... which should balance the titan mechanics

Hmm i'd say as a titan tackler they would be too powerfull, unless the titan is going to get superbly boosted shield/armor wise. Otherwise this would be too powerfull i think. Because with the current game mechanics that would mean that the defending fleet has to kill dictors/hictors and a mothership, which already takes a while to kill with conventional ships. While the attacker can just concentrate on the titan.
In my vision of the mothership i'd see it as a huge capital support vesel similar to a logistic, giving improved reps to the capital ships and giving out bonusses to capital class ships in sort of a similar way as command ships do. Edited by: Akura kawanaka on 19/05/2009 12:19:43 I'm told that if you know what type of titan you're going to face, an appropriately fitted HIC can survive a doomsday device. so you've already got a far more agile, far cheaper capital tackler than using a mom to do it.
FC> Titan just jumped in at xyz gate - quick bring the Capital interdictor Mothership-tackler> just aligning now *titan blows everything up* FC> quick - the titan is aligning. Mothership-tackler> just about to warp now if only CCP hadn't fixed that insta-warp bug... FC> shut up and get your ass here *titan warps off* Mothership-tackler> just about to come out of warp now...
edit: having said this, I've never actually fought a titan, nor have I ever flown a mothership so I don't want to come across as arrogant, just thought that HIC's were already capital tacklers.

they wouldnt be over power as you will still have to get a buble on the titan for the mothership to land due to warp time of a mothership. and killing a mothership doesnt really take that long of all alliance razor should know that ___ Fear the french touch.

bubble? no. but aimed mode, sure. Or just change their normal scrams so they work like HIC scrams (infi points).
