when a player demands to get back the gametime lost because no fault of his own, that should be awarded without question, like a ship or an asset lost because of the same circumstances. No regular player in his right mind would object against this.
ONLY CCP ALTS.

So no, it's not really logical to think that the server downtime was because of you, just because you happned to be doing the same thing on both crashes.

A message to all those moaners out there crying about downtime, CCP do a fantastic job at doing the job they do, when improvements are made expect downtime cant make an omlette without breaking eggs ect ect, sorry to say but nobody is ever 100% especialy with software development, id like to see the majority of you moaners do a better job tbh, most of the time downtime we experiance is minamal at best, so for the love of god, just shut the hell up :P
i for one am glad to know at least something is being done and for now ill return to my every day regular life.
so rarther than spend time on this forum clockwatching seconds tick by, spend time with your family, play another game, do some exersise or perhaps go look for a job.

That wasnt a dig at CCP. Eve is the only MMO of its kind, I dont mean internet spaceships, I mean the only one with 40k players on a single server, each with enough market transactions (and logs for god knows how long) to make even the most hardned banker cry in pain. Its the people comparing eve to WoW (and actually, Steam's VAC has even better uptime than WoW and <insert MMO> combined!) and the ones on there knees 'cos there games not working for a day.

Except you don't pay to play eve at specific times (at least my EULA doesn't say anything about guaranteed server up time)... if when you signed up for your EVE account, you had checked the box that said "I will play during specific times..." or whatnot, then there may be some grounds for your argument.
As it stands though, it'd be like having a satellite TV subscription and asking them to reimburse you for the times it rained and you lost signal for a couple of hours or so.
I am not really whining about the DT (these things happen to every service not just mmo's and deff not just eve), I am whining about the people whining. So far I havnt read to many "WTF moneies back!" posts. But people DO pay for a service, that entitles them to be angry when its down.
