hey all.
when CCP got rid of classic content i couldnt play anymore, and i havent been able to play since the 1st Apocryhpa patch.
will EVE run on this laptop?

That machine should easily run EVE premium and then some, so yes.

Yeah, but if you can find one with a bit better GPU might want to spring a extra 100 or so bucks for it.
Also you can probably find a better PC for the same price....however if size is really an issue. Yeah it can run it.

well i plan to build a desktop in the fall or so, this laptop is cheaper than my plans for it, and since i need a laptop anyway....

Truthfully though if you can find something for the same price/specs get something other than a gateway. Of course if you're not gonna bash it to much or expect it to last that long it's fine. All the big guys use cheap internal parts besides the CPU, and GPU's. (lowest bidders FTW!!! and better profits!)

Personally, I'd look at a 'build your own laptop' approach rather than buying a prebuilt. Especially from WorstBuy...
Check out customized Dell XPS M1330/M1510's, Lenovo T/R series, lower end Sager notebooks, etc.
If you really want a notebook, I can't see why you'd EVER want a 17". It's more of a mobile desktop with monitor built in than it is a laptop.

You should not have any trouble running premium graphics on that laptop. You might not be able to run HDR & Bloom, but that is not such a huge deal. My eve client runs comfortably on a similar but slightly lesser spec'd laptop. I have everything maxed except bloom using this model...

baaah. that 1 has alot of problems maybe ill just build the desktop now.

As long as it uses Asus internal parts it's fine, however it actually has less mem DD2 instead of 3...which is better for power. Also has less GPU ram. (same GPU, but less ram) If you need a laptop get one, but if you're going to get a desktop later anyway, just wait and get he desktop made.
