hello all fellow industrialists
my newest project is a web shop solution initiated by a german industry corp. that software is now available for other corps for usage.
its a hosted web shop that is widely configurable and can be adapted to fit all specific corp needs.
core features
- unlimited amounts of items
- customizable categorization of items
- registration system for new users
- accounting options for the customer
- ordering and tracking of orders for registered users
- possibility to append notes to orders - both from the side of the selling corp and the customer
- extensive overview of open and processed orders for the operator
- automatic import of stock into the shop by use of the api
- statistics by time period (day, week, month), customers and by item
- news module for news, messages and updates

It's pretty good but won't 2 billion be a barrier for those smaller indy corp?
Perhaps you could change that so that those corp pay a monthly fee?

well, the shop is intended for medium to larger industrial corporations. it does not make sense to have a shop when a corp produces like 10 ships a week - except when they are capitals... :-). i assume a weekly turnover of 500 mil upward is reasonable for both the corp aquiring such a shop and for the customers buying from it (expecting to have some diversity and stuff actually on stock). the first installation of the shop (tek3 corp) hit two digit billions once already...
in that scenario, the price of 2 bil (which is like less than a hundred us-dollars) is rather low for such a specialized software.

i make over 1b/month and i dont think its reasonable

i meant that i believe it is reasonable to make a webshop when you or your corp make more than 500 mil turnover a week. webshops tend to generate fewer, but larger orders (at tek3, they go from 100 mil into billions for a single order!). and it would be dissapointing for your customers to find empty shelves all the time because your production can't keep up (unless of course, it is very specialized stuff).
but eventually it is up to you to decide... :)

Very impressive webshop. There is definetly demand for such a service. Too bad that the EVE IGB does not support the such webshop usage very well. Would guess that the long promised "Storefronts" to be the alternative for those OGB webshops.

woddel will you ever add the ablity to sell Corp Packages so if you clicked on a ship you could buy the modules needed as well and they would be shown below the ship.

ups sorry, i missed this thread a bit. this is a planned feature to make packages of items. like ships and setups, inplants or bpc sets. i will do it when it is first needed for real.

i'd be interested in something i could host on my own server but someone else hosting means it's too easily to pay only for them to stop hosting, leave eve, etc.
Shame since i've been looking for something like this :(
