Who cares if he's ready or not? Why is it OK to be curious about any ship except for capitals? Acting superior without posting any knowledge of your own gives the impression of a posturing child...seriously.
20 seconds to type a "wtflol?" post is a lot funner than spending an hour pouring my random carrier knowledge to a random person that is to lazy to explore it on his own, or ask the billions of players in his large 0.0 alliances that are in carriers "all the time" etc.
The forum, particularly the section entitled "Ships and Modules" is a perfect place to go with questions of this nature. It seems to me that the OP has done precisely what he should: ask people who know.
But, it seems he is in a bit of a catch-22 here. If he flies it without proper knowledge, it is likely that he will do little good and become a bragging right on someone's kill board. He is then to be scolded for being a stupid noob. If he asks for information that would avert such a fate, he is told he isn't ready. While he may have carrier piloting corp mates already, why should he be forced to ask them when there are likely dozens of cap pilots on this very board?
VERY well said derek.
i'm not about to embroil myself in this, but i will say that internet anonymity does seem all pervasive these days when it comes to some people. you know the ones. they wouldn't have a clue how to defend themselves in a rl scrap yet are legends in their own playtime when it comes to typing puerile shyte in a forum where winding people up seems to be their preferred pastime.
my main is almost 6 years old and is nowhere near trained for carriers. not interested in flying caps at all. but if i DID have an interest, i would also come here and speak straight with those who are experienced and ask for their help.
to those who trot out that old tired cliched response 'if you need to ask....etc, etc', i say hey, you wake up with a **** every day, but do you know how to use it properly yet? |
