Glad to hear you've read something interesting. To find the answer to your question, you should also carefully go through this.

A mission hub is where a lot of players go to do missions. Usually they are located very close (if not same system) as a trade hub.
Little *secret*: you can usually find them buy placing a long range, highest price, buy order for salvage.

Or you could look on the map. A few of the statistics it displays would be indicators of where the mission hubs are.

I tend to look at the market data for mission items like cruise missiles.

I'm not sure why no one is really answering your question. Mission hubs are where a lot of popular agents are located close together. The most popular agents are level 4's (cause they pay more than lower levels, but they are easier to solo than level 5's). So, using the eve agent finder, look for concentrations of level 4 agents in whatever region you're in. They don't all have to be in the same system; two or three adjoining systems gets you the same advantages of one (lots of traffic in a small area). Most players tend to prefer combat to other types of missions, so you can refine your search a bit to look for agents taht give kill stuff missions (eve agent even has a convenient option to filter for exactly that). Good luck! |

This is one of the rare threads where every single post actually has a useful answer. In fact, I think your method probably is the worst of all methods mentioned here. The fact that there's a level 4 agent somewhere doesn't mean that that agents actually is being used by anyone.

Kazzac what do you mean by "Empire, Active Pilots in space" Do you mean simply fly around a look at the local channels - I don't think that's what you mean, someone throw me a bone here please.

Thanks for the replies. Tried a search but all I could pull up were more references to mission hubs, not how to locate them.

I assume he means look at your star map in game. There are options to show sec status and active pilots in a system.

Actually, if you look at each of the answers, they have useful information only if you understand the underlying principle of what is being suggested. How is a noob who doesn't know what a mission hub is going to understand why market data for cruise missiles is useful information?
While I wasn't singling out an answer for criticism (rather the usefulness of the info to a noob), your answer failed to provide a critical piece of information--which of the statistics he should use. But I'm not here to fight with you (love the clone service), I was trying to help the new guy. And while the method I offer is not the ultimate, it is noob-friendly and a reasonable place to start. You'll note that I didn't say "one agent," I said "concentrations of lvl 4 agents." The other suggestions are all good, but until you know more about the game, not very useful. |

Another way to locate mission hubs that hasn't been mentioned yet is to ask the mission-runners in your corp where their favorite agents are.
Assuming you're in a mixed rather than specialized corporation.
