So I'm not quite sure why you can't connect the dots and realise why they didnt bring those dreads a few days later to a potentially similar fight. The answers obvious, you didnt have enough dreads left. As to the fun/smartbomb thing, thats fine I guess and I'm sure it was fun, lol. I think you missed the first sentence or 2 in my post there. If your aim was to have fun and lose a high end moon then congrats you did that. And congrats to ourself as we took the high end moon, pretty much our only aim since we had 150+ caps there to do that. So we both win. As for the sexual comments, well I dont really get that...

Sabiesttor Minmatar Shiva Morsus Mihi	Posted - 2009.05.22 19:44:00 - [72] Well they obviously have some capitals left, that's fairly clear from the stats on the NC killboard, just not enough for an actual cap fight. WTF actually put together a pretty decent cap fleet for the fight in e-7, however their ability to toe vs toe another cap fleet like they did in e-7 was vastly reduced with losing 60+ caps (look it up on the nc killboard for decent stats). Until their sugardaddy (hint: aluminium) comes up with some more dreads we probably wont see a cap fight on the scale that we witnessed in e-7. Unfortunate because that was quite fun despite the p. horrific server performance.

If I take a dread to a fight it's not like its actually mine anyway- most likely it's a corp one and hence "free." If I take a HAC to a fleet fight and lose it, it's not like I have to rat all day to buy a new one- it'll be replaced by my corp with 1 day. That's one of the benefits of being in a coalition that has both military and industrial might. I think in the long run even if such a coalition lost those high ends for an extended period of time, it's not going to make such an impact where it becomes a serious problem. These are afterall the high ends in WTF's own region (npc region) they call home and haven't always been in the hands of the NC. Probably from the perspective of an ordinary NC member (such as myself) if those moons bring th occassional break from the south and a decent cap fight or w/e then thats just awesome.

I've got some friends in Tri from my days there and it's not so much the financial cost of the dreads that was the problem because as you say many Tri are veteran players who are not short of ISK. The main delay is that replacements dreads arent just sitting around in hangars, they have to be purchased, fitted up and moved to Venal. Also 2 Dysprosium towers of MM's were placed into reinforced tonight in Venal both with decent timers, both were put into reinforced in under 5 mins so I'll leave it to people out there to figure out what strength their dread fleet is at now. MM I admit are essential to Goons being able to hold onto the territory they've recently gained, without them being there Goons will lose, the past week has shown just how bad Goons do when they're not there. MM had a belief they could go south and keep their Venal high ends. Wrong. They can do one or the other, not both. If they try and do both they'll fail at both.
