They said from 11-12 its now 12:15..... Whats going on.... (addicted to eve) lol... Someone tell me... is it a patch they are putting in? Kinda wondering whats going on here.

it's 5 am here.... I'd like to start a new skill and go back to bed.....
(no I didn't wake up for just that... had to feed the cats because they are really anoying at 5am)

get used to it, they **** it up every day... they are NEVER back in time, and also keep in mind that they have a habbit of screwing things up so that they have to reboot the server again 5 minutes after it got back up after the downtime.... I think that this is seriously one big shortcoming of ccp, and they really need to do something about it, or it will cost them customers soon....

yes.... so from 11-12pm is downtime so that means it goes from 4am to 5am? or am i wrong?

yeah, you're totally wrong... if you're lucky, they will start booting their server at 5 (your time), which means an additional what? 500 seconds? something like that... but that's only when we're lucky... otherwise, we just sit and wait until they get their stuff done and boot..... I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if I would treat my paying customers like this, I'd get shot at least twice a week.....

Anyone see that it said 560 seconds till starting then went to server down again.... Hmmmm This gonna take a while im guessing and im guessing a patch is here... Get ready for the next couple of days of hell lol...

Capn Blood where is this "news article"?....
I know that they've been going way over the stated time on a regular basis. I do wish they would get thier act together and post someplace when they are going to patch or have and extended downtime. But since they don't have that many subscribers they may not be able to afford enough people. Hence the few skeleton crew they can afford can hardly keep things afloat let alone provide a modest degree of Customer Service.

LOL Digi, it will NOT cost them ANY customers.
I have played EQ from the kick-off, over 4 years ago now. They ALWAYS run longer than the time they say servers will be down. ALWAYS.
Look at the numbers of people playing EQ.
It's a minor irritation when it takes a fwe minutes longer than they say it will....but christ...get some perspective. A few minutes here or there isn't going to kill you.
EDIT - There was a 1 liner on the in-game news browser when I looked this morning when i logged on....about 7 hrs ago.
I don't see any sign of it on the news link here on the site tho /shrug
Basically just said today servers would have to be down a bit longer than usual.
Not much info to go on I know. Sorry.

A few minutes? its been 30 minutes longer than what theyve said... Thats quite a bit I must say... if they keep this up they WILL lose some customers.

Ya, homme from work, 7:15 am, gotta sleep, but will wait to start new training I know I have to do, and downtime only to 8 am est. I wait. It's 8:20 and still down, what a waste of an hour sleep time I need before another 12 hour shift tonight again. They say (for me) 7 to 8 am est. It's only common courtesy to stick to it and I've rarely seen them stick to it. Going to bed after wasting an hour waiting...

It would be nice if they could post it to these boards when they are extending the downtime.
Least people would know what's going on.

Umm, I disagree with that statement but you are missing the whole point anyway. EQ DOES NOT HAVE DAILY DOWNTIME. EQ patches maybe once every 2 weeks and yes they have at times gone longer than the specified downtime. They have also at various times brought the server back online earlier than stated. However, in EQ this is not a DAILY occurence since thay have no daily downtime.
