The problem is that when you afk travel in a freighter and end up going 3 of 19 jumps in 3 hrs you don't get compensated for your loss of time. CCP refuses to move you and reconcile their bugs. I expect gaming problems, what I don't expect is a half-ass petition response saying they can't do anything about it. Saying they can't move me where I belong. Simple log would show it... simple move would make me happy.
So you have to waste more time trying to travel... your REAL life, your REAL family time. Since when does CCP think they can tell me their bugs are allowed to waste my REAL LIFE TIME? F-that.
You better start compensating players who expect to travel afk and get hosed. And for all you afk haters... you do it too! so stfu.

You want some kind of accomodation for AFK play? I suggest a big dose of Chill Out, followed by a few chews of It's Not All About You.

Dear CCP
I want compensated for the time I lost at the PC while I wasnt at the PC. This is unforgivable that I was stuck for hours but didnt know it because I was AFK.

No... but it is about poor customer service to everyone. It's about being compensated for your loss of time due to an error in the game you pay for. Last I checked I'm entitled to petition and dispute in this game. When you pay for something, you have every right to be protected. So why don't you chill out and learn basic legal rights.

My loss of time is the time I have to re-do what should of been done. Kinda think that was obvious. But nice try.

I want CCP to add 20 mil ISK per hour to my wallet until they have fixed any and all bugs in EVE to reimburse me for the unplayability of their game.

Legal rights? I recommend reviewing the EULA and if you think you have a legal basis for this then by all means pursue it. Hey...it's something else you can do while flying AFK!

I agree, . CCP has HUGE custermer service issues.
why they fight tooth and nail to not give you what is fair I will never understand.
In responce to their attitude, I fill petitions for everything. Its a karma thing. If I knew that they where going to take care of me for the big things, I would let the little things slide.

That is just silly. Why bother replying. Everyone knows that. He's not asking for financial renumeration. It's about quality of product and lack of customer service. Ultimately CCP loses if they don't recognize that.

I see you do not understand the concept of what AS IS or NO WARRANTIES means. Compensation is not restricted to monetary value.
On the same side if you are not satisfied with the quality of the game then you reserve the right to discontinue the contract with CCP by clicking the I disagree button.
In the mean time this is the contract you were given to be able to play this game, and you signed it by clicking I agree. You agree that you accept this game AS IS with faults and NO WARRANTIES.
I certainly hope you don't buy a car any time soon.

whats with most of those replies. sometimes i think, how the forum has slipped in terms of some sincerity. feeling like i am in a circus, where the clowns compete on attracting attention 'whos the funniest'
i actually can understand the ops frustration, because the bug he mentions is truly game breaking. i haven't really played for the last few days. it hinders most activities, especially pvp - and that's surely a non-afk activity.
what about all the ships lost because of this bug? will they be reinbursed ? where is the line of what gets 'fixed' by gm intervention and what not, caused by this...
yeah, and most freighter pilots travel afk. so, nothing special here. it's really time consuming to go for 20 jumps in a freighter. something, where you can spend your time in some useful way.
thanks to ccp for an official statement on this bug though, although no time of fixing has been announced. |
