I'm thinking of getting into low sec trading/hauling to provide equipment for PvPers & pirates- I was wondering which modules, items or ships you'd like to see readily available at your local low sec station?
What are those things that you always seem to need but can never seem to find available (asides from boobs & beer of course  )?

Most of us build everything in house or have agreements with indy corps whom do so.
Typically they deliver to a specific Lowsec station via courier contract.
This necessitates freighters, scouts and an industrial arm with a fast turnaround- there is a fair bit of competition despite what you might believe and if you cant meet or beat Highsec prices most Lowsec Corps will haul from a Highsec hub.
That said, you will find
Cap 800's, RF EMP, CN Antimatter, Scorch M and L crystals, LAR II, XL Shield Booster sell well
Ships: Raven, Abaddon, Typhoon, Geddon, the occasional Maelstrom, Hictors and Interceptors.

Many thanks RedSpat- that's exactly the type of info I'm looking for. What about T2 modules? Is there much demand for them or do people just haul them themselves using an empire alt?

Focus on Ships and Ammo.
T2 ammo: Barrage, Scorch
T2 mods are so easy to bring in at competitive (often under production thanks to idiot producers) Empire prices you wont be making much of a profit.

RedSplat is right about you not making much of a profit with modules, but if you were interested in a list just for reference...
EANMs
Invulns
Sensor Boosters
Cap Boosters
Warp Disruptors
Damage mods
I could list more, but that's a good start and I'm sure you can probably get a good idea of what all is needed yourself.

Thanks for those items- I had most of them on my list but I'd neglected Invulnerability Fields 
That nicely illustrates why I'm asking what people want though- I've some PvP experience but it's all from the Gallente point of view so I'm only confident in what a drone wielding, armor tanking player needs/fits in general.
Amarr & Minmatar are a bit of a mystery to me- as in what weapons & ships are generally the most popular for "throw away" low sec combat... maybe I should just trawl through some pirate/pvp corp killboards

You collect yours in jars? I just use the empty bottles/kegs of rum that are always lying around. Gives the tears a sweet, slightly alcoholic flavour too.

collect tears, add sugar and ginger, ferment on the windowledge. Enjoy sweet carebear ginger beers.

Faction ammo and cap boosters.. That's about all I need on a regular basis that I don't want to wait for. Everything else I can get hauled from highsec.
Other oddball things like T2 drones and logi drones that you just don't see around would be good, but you would have to be pricing them pretty close to empire for it to be worth it (or not worth it to run an alt out to get some). Anything best named will probably sell eventually..
