I think EVE news is seriously boring! It just waffles on about characters and events that most of us really have no interest in.
The news should be about the players of eve and whats happening to us and not some fiction character. The other month we had one almighty battle were 60 ships took on several admin BS (pretending to be blood pirates or something like that) and all 60 were destroyed after several hours... and it didnt get one mention in the news!!!!
If not that then maybe put some humour in with the story line, surely there is someone in EVE who has a bit comic talent. It would just make actually reading the news slightly more interesting, most people dont even bother now adays!!!

Just in passing, if Gnauton or one of the head reporters reads this, please, please, please, please, errr...., please can I have a response to my questions on the Interstellar Correspondents forum. I've been waiting for an answer for months now and everyone else seems to have moved on. Even better please convo me ingame when I'm on (or send me an evemail with times when we can convo).

I don't remember seeing anything like that, and in fact a long time ago there was player centred news. Unfortunately in all cases to date it's been pulled due to protests by the people being reported on. Sadly I have my doubts that we'll ever see it now, and it'll just be more made up stuff or items on NPC goings on (nothing wrong with that, but personally I think there should *also* be a controlled way of allowing players to report on players via the official news system).

being able to interact with the news atleast would be nice
at one time there was some trouble between the emapires the players could not interact with the news (supporting one side or the other) without a insta gank from empire navy/Concord
a while back there was the whole station being abadoned by concord (crielle i think) where the players was actuelly allowed to help defend the station (yeah it was more of a event then a news item but ...) more of that would be nice
just like the whole delicatessen issue it just went away even though the Caldari denied paying for Implants for the poor Gallente children there was no way for us Gallente Pilots to **** on the Caldari afterwards (attacking their border outpost etc)
that btw is another issue completely we need border outposts between the empires that can be raided anyway thats off topic
Thank You Paw Sandberg

I just imagined Richard Dawson saying, "Survey Says!"
Most of who? Us?
Simply state it honestly. Say "I" or "people I know". Your perceptions do not a case study make. |

It was a while back but there was a time when there was fresh news daily and it included alot of stuff the player corps were doing etc, especially alliances.
Then one day somone made a news item on the CA that the CA didn't "approve of" and they basically threw a ****y fit over a fictional news item and it basically wound down to what it is now since then, which is pretty fing dull agreed.
Whatever happened to the news reporters who had their stories posted in the main eve news?
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it... |

i would like to read about player news
what about allowing allianzes to give out 1 news per week (giving their propaganda)
and some independent new reporters
would give me something to read during travelling, and without flaming each other Wanna fly with me?

To say that Eve Guardian provides this type of outlet would be a disservice. We do, even if few take us up on our supposed "bluff", but I want to stress that the Interstellars don't get enough credit.
They have to work hard. They can not simply publish news at their discretion either. I am often astonished at thier depth of knowledge of Eve history and events.
Add to that the saddest thing of all... even they can not go places to cover news without being summarily podded at every opportunity.
Instead of doing my usual programmed statment of, "EG, EG, EG", let's give some credit where it is due.
To the Interstellars. May they always report the news, may the always keep their influence. Good job guys.
Edit: Me and my typos... |
