Okay not quite sure what to do here.
I managed to pick up an osprey for 800k (think someone made a big mistake with the price) and been running lvl 2 missions and mining in it
high slots are standard
2 x 250mm rails
2 x assault launchers (1 malkuth) both with bloodclaws for kinetic bonus
low slots are fine have 2 x rcu 1 and 1 x linear targeting/range mod
It be the midslots i be curious about
atm i am running 1 x 10mn mwd 1 x med shield booster 1 x med armor repairer (or hull i cant memba which) but no idea what to put in the 4th slot
Should i go with a shield hardener or some sort of damage mod?
Is it even possible to try and shield tank an osprey
any advise is appreciated

Cap Recharger or Hardener may come in handy....

Take the Hull repairer off first. The hull repairer is so slow it actually wont help much in combat. You would be better off with something that helps recharge Shields, Cap or gets you better damage.

okay so lose the hull rep and add a cap charger kewl
thanks all
now anyone got a differing setup so i can play around some
managed to do the level 2 modru's legion mission with that setup without even gettin hit so curious as to what else i can do with it :-)
ps;- drones are a skill in progress lol, didnt even realise till just as i was loggin off tonight that i had a 400 m3 dronebay to play with
too used to blowin crap up with mah kestrel

I good tank setup that I use on my Moa which also has 4 med slots is 1xshield booster, 2x hardeners (depending on npcŠs you are fighting) and a shield boost amplifier. The shield on Osprey arenŠt that high to begin with (I think IŠve never flown the beast though) so you might be better off by putting a shield extender instead of shield boost amplifier. It would be slow as a brick but it would be able to tank pretty well.

Imo you canŠt shield tank the osprey because the cap recharge is too low.
The shield only helps you to get out if the npc get too close.
So range is your only friend.
I used this setup before they made the npc using their mwd excessively. Not a useable setup now if you suffer from the defender bug slowing your ship down because the npc get too close and you run out of cap quickly.
2x 250mm rail - lead, iridium, heavy launcher, standard launcher - defender
10mn mwd, med shield booster I, 2 shield hardener or 1 shieldhardener and 1 cap recharger I
3 pds
Afaik the osprey doesnŠt have a missile bonus on kinetic missiles...

I didnŠt really think about the cap as I my Moa always seems to have a lot left. Of course I donŠt have to run the shield booster continously (and there are few ships that can handle that).
