Calioes, director of .WORM corporation, stole all liquid assets from corporation wallets. (About 3bn) Corp was reaching a downturn, and although people were trying to re-start corp, all T3 production assets being stolen will put a damper in any re-formation attempts.
I'm sure several will hi-five him for this, and although I sometimes understand the whole GS laughing at e-honour, it always stings when it's one of your own. I understand it when it's in a war, and it's legitimate espionage, but when a peaceful corp just has a bad member turn into a thief out of greed, it's a different story. Especially when the theft will effectively kill the corp for your former friends.
Calioes reports that he will use the money for his PVP main, which I suspect may be Trizna, but not sure - Trizna was at least reported being involved in the theft.
Please be aware in the future in all your dealings with these people.

you just paid 3 bil for a lesson in security. Tighten it up and it wont happen again.

Well as much as it sucks, you may not have a choice, you cant trust anyone, and while its nice believing everyone will play fair all it takes is one idiot who is emotionally unstable cause he cant get an erection and he screws things over for everyone just to feel good,.. or in a more recent case much needed attention.

pixels? I'm not suggesting that people should go around stealing from corps since it indeed kinda ****s up other peoples' fun and enjoyment, though its indeed ...pixels.

Well you see people can easily go around stealing **** in RL and then say "its only papar" or "its only metal", the end result is the same. Working hard for anything in a game or RL and getting it stolen would make you feel ****ty and spoil stuff for you and most likely others, the way I see it, dont trust anyone probably the best advice you will receive anywhere.

If you want to be REALLY anal about it, you can give whatever roles you want individually or assign them by title, but disallow secure / wallet access to anyone but yourself. Instead of just clicking the Director option. Yeah it's time consuming, but less risk in the end.

you can just do what we do, and operate with lint, and hairballs in your corp wallet, and main assets leave with the ceo. Noone corp theifs lint or hair balls.. I dont think.. |
