Well, if you are training any gunnery, missile, or spaceship command skills, those are really going to slow things down for you because you have very low percetion. I would highly recommed training ALL the learning skills to 5, and in your case especially spatial awareness. If you can afford them, implants will really help, too.....again especially a perception one.

Lemme guess, you started with 3 perception aswell right? I was lucky enough to get a +4 perc implant fairly early into the game (A toss up between buying a battleship or the implant..) I'm roughly 2 and 1/2 months old and I'll hit the 3m SP mark somewhere next week.
Also, I decided early on that I won't be training *any* missile skills whatsoever and only fly the gallente race ships to avoid perception based timesinks. And work on those learning skills!they make one helluva difference.

Yes as was said get all learning at lv 5 (perhaps not charisma one). Get some implants- perception first and then possibly willpower than after if you can afford get intelligence. There are a lot of combat related skills with intelligence as primary and your int attributes are good so train engineering, electronics, mechanics and navigation until you get those perc and willpower implants and you will be fine

with your low perception it might be best for you to specialize in one race of ships, gallente, caldari etc. and also one style of guns. Then just build up your engineering skills a lot.

Get a +3 perc implant, or 4 if you can afford it and train spatial awareness to 5.
That should bring you up to 12-13 perception, which is ok.
Every toon has a weakness of some sort, yours it that gunnery skills are going to take more time to train.
