With the experience gained from creating the POS Fuel Offline Monitor project, I decided to start on a new one, that will also offline monitor some important aspects of the game, the Industry Jobs project.
This is also spreadsheet based (Excel).
It has EVE API requirements as it uses data from the EVE API Server. There will be three Editions. Corporation, Character and an All In One called C&C (Corp & Char).
Here you will find the Corporation Edition. The Corporation Edition only works if you have Factory Manager rights in your Corporation.
Features
- Access all your Characters in your account. - Switch between Characters. - View Industry Jobs data in custom form. - Show the current EVE time. - Inform you when the next Update is available. (Note! In order for the timers to display the time right, you have to set the Time Format to 24H base)

I have reached the point of deciding on how to format the overview of the data.
I have some standard fields that will be included (with this order) like:
-State of Job -TTC (Time Till Complete) -Name of Installer -Activity (type of Job) -Type of BP installed -Location of installed BP -Output Type -Output Location -Installed ME -End ME -Installed PE -End PE
So itÆs up to you to tell me what other fields youÆd like to see or if you like to suggest another order.
Your suggestions are valuable to me. IÆll be waiting for your posts.

Some of that sounds redundant, and sometimes the data will be different. -Activity (type of Job) ... -Installed ME -End ME -Installed PE -End PE
Might be better if you wrote this: -Installed ME -Installed PE -Activity (type of Job) (+10 ME, +5 PE, 10x 10-run Copy)
Also same thing applies for manufactured items, or invention jobs. (Might want calculated % for invention jobs)

Thanks for the reply.
I think I'm gonna stick with my choice just because these are the basic info that the game shows and ingame. However I will put and option to Show/Hide the delivered Jobs so that the list of Jobs don't get too long.

I've noticed, that you've made several excel apps.
I was interested to check your applications, but enabling excel macros usually considered potentially risky action. So I've tried to check macros 1st in VBS editor, but they are password protected. So, I'd like to ask, is source code available to public?
I do not think that someone going to steal your methods of getting data via EVE API, but showing ppl that you do not accidently install any keyloggers inside ;-) might be useful.

You have a point there but atm I don't intent to release the code to the public. I have noticed that several spreadsheets apps are locked and password protected. I guess this is done for two reasons:
1. Protect the app from being tampered and rendered useless. 2. Protect copyrights.
Your claim about "keyloggers" can apply to any program you may use, either EVE-based or not. Undoubtfully the risk is always out there and we use the apps that the community provides (I use many of them, EveMon-EFT-EVE Asset Manager-Eve Market Uploaders) in good faith to the author.
I'm not implying anything, it's up to you to use them or not. If you have the slightest suspicion that I may use keyloggers to get your Apikey, please don't use my apps. |

Maybe use eve-files.com as download hub, and ask Chribba to certify the code :-)

Most of them have been tested of things like Keyloggers, Backdoors or have open source codes. Letting someone like Chribba check your code and verify it, does not hurt your buisiness. Please resize your sig to a maximum of 400 x 120 - Mitnal
^ You seen it CCP =) Now go fix! |
