I felt like doing this for one simple reason.
DONT SELF DESTRUCT YOU COWARDS, DIE IN PEACE, AND MORE SO DIE IN MY KM.
Okay, so that's not really a reason, but hey, self-destructing and depriving the homocidal pilots of their sport is just not right.
I'll get the ball rolling with 'NZ Mantas' and how I almost got his maelstorm, with my wolf, after about 10minutes, obviously not noticing the invisible:
'[ 2009.05.29 15:06:58 ] (notify) NZ Mantas has initiated self-destruct of their Maelstrom, it will explode in 120 seconds.'
as it is masked in a plethora of lovely yellow notifications of:
[ 2009.05.29 15:07:35 ] (combat) <color=0xffbbbb00>Your group of 150mm Light AutoCannon II is well aimed at NZ Mantas [S.0.A](Maelstrom), inflicting 230.3 damage.
Be proud to lose your battleship to a wolf, you'd go down in history.
And to the point of this post, share...share your juicy robberies! What low-life has killed themselves just to spite you?
p.s. get rid of self destruct or give me my killmail,his self destruct only removed the last 5-10% of his hull holding the ship together!

Even if self destruct didn't give out insurance, I'd still do it to wipe the smug grin off my would be assasins.

So far every commenter has missed the point of this thread, i wanted the dudes who kill the self destruct wimps, not the self destruct wimps!

Its awesome. This one time a group of pirates caught me jumping in my carrier when i bounced off the station due to a desynced jump. As soon as i initiated self destruct they said "Sod this" and left, so i turned self destruct off and warped away and back to the station, docked and proceeded to move my cynobiatch to the next wayppoint.
