I agree with Redundancy and the others here that are advocating a more "open" system of roles.
I am also in favor of letting CEOs create their own "trees" of roles and hangars and wallets.
Having a hard-coded 7 hangar tabs and hard-coded 28 roles is kind of weird to me.
Most importantly, I just hope this patch alphabetizes things... that application area and the members area is a headache... searching through 175 names + apps drives me totally insane.
Overall, I am pleased to see corps starting to look more like "corps" and less like "guilds".

Excellent Changes. Pat on the back to the dev and planning teams.
Look forward to more along the lines of the suggestions on this forum. In particular selling directly from Corp hangars with profit going to corp wallet. | Join eve-webring.com to promote your site. |

Well I don't know if this is just a display error but it seems all members have been defaulted to access to division 1 hanger. This IS a problem as some of us use hanger 1 as a secure hanger.

Apparently I was bugged. I had to delete all of my cache folder except prefs and when I restarted I can now see all the role radio buttons.

i'd like to comment on this part of the current corp hangar system since it's not actually working entirely as i'm sure it was intented:
As we can now edit these roles for "Can Take" and "Can Query" there is the obvious update to the corporation hangar that implements these. A player that has Can Take rights to a given hangar can take items from that hangar. A player that has has Can Query rights to a given hangar can see what is in the hangar. Of course it is possible to give a player Can Take and not Can Query, this is perhapse wanted in one possible situation, and that is manufacturing (this combination could be used so that the installer of a production job would have the rights to specify a the hangar that the resources for the bill of materials (item recipie as some people call it) come from, whereby the player would be able to have the factory take the materials required by the bill of requirements but the player themself would not be able to take them as they would not be able to see what is in that actual hangar. Yes this is somewhat convoluted and perhapse confusing but it is perfectly valid and probably some corporations will even use this combination).

Well actually it isnt, i'll give a short example i have a hangar with bp's to which noone has query access but the researchers have take access, i also have a hangar for new members with free stuff to which everyone has access. Now in the current research setup you can choose the bp from the hangar and then after the research is done put it into any hangar you want to, like for instance the new member hangar in my corp, this means that a researcher could simply research a bp and then move it to the new members hangar to take it out. thus there is no security whatsoever to prevent people from taking bp's that have research hangar access
there is a way to work around it and that would be to grant researchers no take access to any of the corp hangars, but it's a lousy one imo.
another possibility would be to insert a way to disallow possible hangars from the list to where the items can go to after being produced or researched
That's it, i hope someone will still read this since it's a bit late that i found this problem
